I've left off the server specifics intentionally. This is more of a plea for other server owners to not do this.

If people didn't know, Murielle was AliceD's little sister. Both were awesome people and will be greatly missed! If possible please consider a donation to your local Cystic Fibrosis foundation (for Alice) and/or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation (for Murielle). It's a sad day for the world!

MoFoBoT IRC client for monitoring BZFlag servers

Re: Phantom Zone tweak

I actually think this would detract from the flag. It's pretty limited now and generally a throw-away flag - but sometimes you can get a good kill with it. I like to get zoned and shoot at regular tanks for a couple minutes like a fool - then quietly as I can get unzoned, but don't drop the flag - s...

The folks that tell you to press F12 as joking with you - as Bambi says that's the "quick exit" key. If the message appears only occasionally, then it's most likely an issue with the global authorization system - which has been just a little flaky lately. Usually you can bypass this system...

If what you say is true, then you need to delete the game client you have, download and install a fresh one.

The spawnzone is broken. I suggest you either remove SW from the map or make the spawn zone the entire end of the field, because as it is now an enemy with SW can just sit under the base and kill forever.

This already has been implemented as a -badwords argument. There is no code reuse needed, you can use the same file that is provided for a server, or make your own. Drawing problem with newly installed client.

I asked one of the regulars on Two Tanks to install a new client, and now she has a problem with the way the maps are being drawn. She calls it "exploding textures" - see the attachment. Here's the version string of the client: [Alice D->] Version: 2.0.10.20071212-MAINT-linux-gnu-SDL I don...

I have yet to take a look at the slides, but already got a question. :) You said you demonstrated BZFlag showing a GU-match. May I know who played in that match? If you can remember? One of the slides is of some sample chat that is quite entertaining and has some familiar names. http://img228.image...
