Three reasons this is a bad idea: 1. Complexity. Adds another layer to the game, and the people in charge don't want that. 2. Control. I think that it would be really nice to have a portable version, so you could stick just BZFlag on a USB flash drive. I don't want the linux or anything, but I saw some other neat portable apps and I thought that a portable BZFlag would be nice too.

I should be removing that geno flag - I despise it myself even (and many others do). What would be a good replacement? I know that the brightness settings are in Options>Display Settings. You could try reinstalling BZFlag. Or maybe it's a mod that was put on the server that doesn't work, if it's only on one server. Have you done /report?

Oh. I can't do that. I installed BZFlag from the binary and if I tried to compile, it probably would mess something up. Is there any app (or person) that I could go to that could compile it for me? Sorry, I'm a total NOOB at this kind of thing.

I think that there should be a look-around option, so that by holding a certain key you could glance to either side. This would be useful especially if joystick-twisting is enabled, so that by twisting your joystick you could have a glance at who is next to you.

If someone could, it would be nice to have something for the POV hat (the little mini-joystick on top of the actual joystick), like just treating it as arrow keys and allowing you to assign things for it to do, and maybe making the joystick twist (on certain joysticks, you can twist the handle) do s...
