Last man standing
A game where you have to be shot "x" number of times to lose. Once you have lost you auto become an observer.Winner is last one left and then game resets. I don't know if this has been done before. Could be fun

Battlezone
Caught this out of the corner of my eye while watching "Wreck it Ralph" It's the original "Battlezone" as it looked back when I used to play it in the 70's!

A "pass the ball" version of bzflag
I am no coder, but I was wondering how hard it would be to create a "Pass the Ball" version where you can shoot to your teamates and have a "football" kind of play style. It's sort of like ctf and rabbithunt together. Here is what I mean: A single shot is launched by a world weap...

Hows this for a fun flag
Hows about a flag that causes a "flag reset". everyone loses thier flag and has to scramble to find another one. Imagine the look of horror on the faces of those "wing" nuts as they find themselves in midair trying to flap thier treads! ( pictuer Wilie e Coyote )HA HA HA HA HA Ch...

bzflag 2 .0 error No fonts found (the -directory option may
Mandrake 10.,1
raedon 9200
I can run bzflag fine but after I quit and try to start again I get
"No fonts found (the -directory option may help). Exiting"
The only way to get it to run is doing "make install" again.
I do like the improvments though!
Any one have any ideas?

snappy responses too stupid comments
every time someone starts with the threats and bad words. I simply state " You'll have to remind me to be intimidated later, I'm a little busy right now"
This usually sends them off the deep end.

auto pilot (warning! Might be a dumn question)
Can server admins disable auto pilot? I havent run a server for awhile, so I don't know if this is a server command or not. If not, I think it should be, or at least an autokick if someone stays on ap for more than n seconds. It gets somewhat anoying when you pop on to a board and half the folks are...

how about voting?
I'm a few scotches ahead of you folk. Just to warn you that logic is not to be overly expected. I'm getting tired of lame servers and lame server admins. I'm tired of popping on to a server and finding everyone racing around at high speed and jumping right across the board because the admin thinks i...

I agree that one or two flags of this type would be the limit. Maybe we could make it just switch everyones flag at random, blowing up oo's of course. (I REALLY hate oo's )

Another idea for a flag
After running over the useless flag umpteen million times, I had this idea. How about a flag that causes everyone else to lose their flag. of course if someone had oo they would have to destruct. run over flag fire everyone else loses their flag oo's blow up flags randomly reset on board (if possibl...

hey why not?
I play rogue all the time and I die lots...One more flag isnt going to make that much of a difference. It would definetly shake things up. And I think more people would go back to playing teams again. Except me of course being a mal-adjusted socially inept deviant farm animal.

logging on and off
I notice a lot of people logging off and on again evertime they get shot. I wonder if you can set up the server to remember scores for maybe five or ten minutes after a player has left, so that if they log back on in that period they retain the score they left with. Or maybe if they log off and on m...

freezeups
I have found that if I havent configured sound on my box, (p2 400 linux mandrake 9) i dont freeze up. As soon as I configure sound using sndconfig, the freezups start to happen, usually when logging off a server. The sound continues for about 1/2 second after hitting the "REALLY QUIT?" but...

FYI guys It does crash the *nix clients. I'm running mandrake 9 and I kept getting crashed on my own server. bzfs problem
I'm running bzfs on linux mandrake. P2 400. All is well for a while then I can see by my cable modem lights that something weird is going on. Checking the system I find that bzfs is now using 95% of my cpu. (it was using .3%) I log on to the server and there are only three or four people there. Lagc...

mandrake 9 installs
I had problems installing to mandrake 9 as well.
I had to uninstall 1.7e6 before installing the new rpm. Works fine now. Hope that helps.
