At least he didn't call you "Danny DeVito" (He's 5'0")

Or even worse, BZ-wise thinking: "Mother Teresa" (was 4'10").

I myself am a joystick guy. I do better with joystick than with mouse, and I'm hopeless when I use the keyboard.

My joystick is lousy (not precise enough - I can't hit anything), so I hope to improve by simply getting a better one, or a gamepad maybe.

What are your preferred controls for tank movement?

What kind of controls do you prefer? I hope to use the results in a "BZ newbie getting started guide". Please specify, if you voted "Other". Please share your experiences on different types (eg. mouse vs keyboard), brands (eg. Saitek vs Logitech) and technologies (eg. optical vs ...

Think about it if ther is a teeam that is strong enough to get 10 or more points in fifteen or thirty minutes then the other team then they deserve to have that show on their team page that they are good enough to beat a team 15-6. If you ever made your own distro, a small live CD like DSL for example, you could call it smalltux! It really has a nice ring to it.

Personally, I think mixing ELO (skill) and activity is a bad idea, no matter how you do it :) Well... Yes... Activity and skill are two different dimensions in the game. As such, they should be kept separated. The problem seems to be that we can't find any better way to induce activity. PS: Du er v...

If you can't vote then it's either because you already have voted and forgotten all about it, or because the voting is closed because there has been set a fixed time period for the poll.

Unless you figure that a team can only be active during a match, then you'll need to define for how long they are active without performing any new actions. That's actually exactly how I figure - the only sure sign of activity is the fact that you played a league match. Everything else is a transfo...

What i want to see is, just to add that headline to the rules, not more or less. It's a rule which as any rule, not manage teams or. It only clarify the common basics. Every comunity needs some basics of understanding, some call it charter some call it differently. I don't want to see this added as...

The score is a attempt at rating the skill-level. Mixing this with activity will make the score evem more arbitrary than today. That's a very good point. I see it like this: If we have to choose between rewarding and punishing, what would be the best? That's what's discussed in this thread. We stil...

If its easy to define active, why is it hard to define inactive? Because nobody plays 24 hours a day - everybody is "inactive" from time to time. Do you want to punish everybody for being inactive while sleeping? I imagine not. As stated before, you'll have to decide when to call a team i...

I agree with [dmp], SportChick, ... Apart from the fact that the council shouldn't manage teams (as opposed to managing the league, which is the environment in which teams operate), I can't see how the council should be able to enforce this rule.
