Hmmm... A no-shooting flag. Always what I wanted for BZChat (if I ever get around to make it...)

There's BZFlag 2.2?!? Is it a beta or a source?

My idea: little targets. Could be a nice for some sort of obstacle course. Add points every time you hit them. Also: have everyone on a conveyor, and pop stuff up while they move. Shoot down the obstacle or else BOOM! and start over. However, the ideas may require excessive coding.

Check for a plus sign beside your callsign in the scorelist. If your callsign has a minus sign, then you should try logging in again to the server. Sometimes it happens when the list server have a bit of problems. Does this happen every time you play BZFlag?

X11 driver not configured with OpenGL

I finally compiled BZFlag (it was a huge pain....), but when I tried to run it I got the following message: sh-3.00# bzflag Could not set Video Mode: X11 driver not configured with OpenGL. Error creating window - Exiting sh-3.00# I'm using Puppy Linux 2.15CE with kernel modules, OpenGL, and DRM modu...

Checking out BZFlag 2.0.x and 2.1.x latest version help

I have just recently set up my new Puppy Linux on my 1 gig USB stick and is trying to download the latest BZFlag sources. I've got SVN installed but now with the Berkly DB (I think that's what it's called). When I tried to check out the main codes, I get a weird error: sh-3.00# svn co https://bzflag...

Grace F The mouse always returns to the center of the mouse box because it makes the tank stopped when you spawn, instead veering off to the direction your mouse is. Imagine that being changed. "Ummm.... I'm having this problem where the tank is going to the side even when I didn't ask it to, ...

I guess it's usually the server's problem. It seems to me that the server generates a MD5 for the map download and passes the MD5 to your client. It might be the connection or something, not sure. Empty your cache, give it a day, and try again. If it still happens, try contacting the server admin, o...

Or, if you can make one, make an invisible cursor, change to that when you're playing BZFlag, and presto, your cursor's gone. Of course, then you have to find the cursor again. Your problem :D

Sometimes it just does that... But rare. Does it happen on all servers? If it's just one, then I bet that it's just that single map with the problem.

I knew that... It's the exact same thing I did with PStart. Shortcuts don't work as well. Too much confusion.

How do you do that? I used PStart to specify BZFlag to use the profile on my flash drive. It's the only program that I can find that will actually change the drive path on-the-fly and accept command lines.

Just something to think about: You're only half dead when you get capped. You drop your flag, die, and get spawned at base (usually) the next time. But your score doesn't change, and neither does your rampage/killing spree status doesn't change. Just something to think about.

Maybe it's something with your Internet connection. I remember someone having high lag or something before in the forums if you're using cable. Try calling your ISP.

There was a bit of discussion of that in another topic, I think the one about cross-server teles. They were talking about perhaps splitting big maps in smaller portions on different servers and/or ports. While a player is on the map, he/she will be held at each part of the map as an observer. When h...

It might also be some kind of "blinking" or something (I read that off of a server cooling book :) ). It might just be that your computer is extremely overheated or something and the computer starts to go offline randomly (again, what I'm saying is about a server in a server room). If that...

Weird... You have an advantage there! Try updating your graphic drivers (as usual). Using Windows or Mac or Linux?

And, no, radar unclipping wouldn't be possible without somehow rewriting the source. And that's not recommended.

P. S. Fix it.

It's usually a background program starting. Every day Apple Updater starts (sidenote.. I'm using a PC!), and when I play the game when it starts, the game minimizes. If you have iTunes with a default installation, you have Apple Updater. Try using Microsoft/Sysinternal's Process Explorer and start i...
