For your edification and amusement, I present this curiosity: shattered.bzflag.bz:2982 - kinda-sorta-ducati-style CTF on new map: 3-shots+rico, no jumps, no flags. 5 players each Red vs Purple (I like the colours, ok?) shattered.bzflag.bz:2983 - MadCity FFA - 5 shots+rico, jump, no bad flags, no win...

I put together a new map for CTF - red vs. purple - 3 shots, no jumping, no flags.

By the way, I should point out that I spent all of 45min in bzedit to make this map, so it's still kind of "beta". See what you think.

Personally, I think the lights are quite useful as it tells you from odd angles which direction the tank is pointed. Sometimes, you can't see the gun - for example if you're below your opponent by a building - but you can still see the lights peeking over the top :) Always handy for those jump kills...

I'm playing around with blender a bit.. maybe i can get a little more creative once i get the guts done... but that stuff is still pretty much a total mystery to me. I bought (and very quickly returned) Roosendaal's blender book... that book was horrible - missing steps all along the way, misleading...

In cvs v2_0branch, there is an issue with bots not authenticating properly on a public server.

1.x had its uses
Actually, for quite a while after 2.x came out, I continued playing 1.x simply because I couldn't find any servers that did NOT have the infamous wings. Yeah yeah, shattered.bzflag.bz:2982 is back up running BigMadCity (for the time being - may switch map at a later date).
Again, I cannot guarantee how LONG this server will be up. For the most part, I'm just letting it run while I go about my daily business.
