I fail to see how a slightly diminished average player count is a bad thing. If I understand correctly, BZFlag started out as a small scale game, suitable only for private servers on LANs. I don't think there were any massive marketing campaigns on the part of the developers early on to spur growth ...

You would be using the spin function of your arc:

Would spin the arc on it's z access 90 degrees, one time. This function is repeatable, allowing you to spin in more than one direction.

I like all of these ideas. By the way, no radar can be specified in almost any object's code to hide it on radar, but there is no way to toggle an objects radar signature on/off in game. I'm not sure how much use that would have though.

You bases are probably not showing up in the game because you don't have the '-c' option specified in either the options section of your map file or in your server config file. This tells the server to make the game CTF and use your bases.

Too bad most people only fire regular shots without finding a flag by the name of Laser or Super Bullet. I agree with Blizzard, this implementation would be too powerful, and too map specific. This and similar flags have been suggested before and rejected.

This is indeed a bug which I also have been troubled by in the past. There is no fix that I know of, although in 2.0.9+, regular boxes can be given materials as well as mesh boxes. If you do this, the problem goes away, and the textures come out more nicely anyway.
