This is GREAT. You could give an object an animated texture right? So a door that opens and closes could be synced with the tangibility. You could also use drawinfo to make the door "open" when a tank drives near it. So if someone is near the door, you can shoot through it, but if not, the...

The Purple Panzer has a pretty cool avatar too, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it.

I also like mine, it's an actual picture of some tank treads that I took :)

Or better still, stand on a box with SR and set Sr radius to be the whole map.

You need to use the flagstay plugin. It works kind of like the zoneflag thing, IIRC.

I think, if players had to take a more circuitous route, we could cut down on the "insta-capping". Like you would have to jump from ship to ship, and then the island, and then start jumping along the enemy ships, etc. If you were to do this, you might have to move the ships closer together...

No, I am not using shear. I have isolated the piece of the map that causes the problem and attached it. Pay no attention to the giant floating cube, it's just there so the piece is easier to find in observer mode if you have to (The map is quite large). What's really weird is, if I move that piece a...

I think I may be able to shed some light on this. One of the "features" of the MG flag is that it lets you fire constantly. Normally, if you hold down the fire button, you will fire all your shots and then stop shooting, even after they have reloaded. With the machine gun, you can hold dow...

non-planar mesh faces

Hi, I'm making a map with several arcs in it. A lot, actually. In fact, I group many of them together and then scatter those groups around my map, often with a couple of nested spin operations and/or shifts. (This was the easiest way, yes.) Unfortunately, the last group I placed gave an error when I...

It wouldn't take a huge amount of processing power to track the bullets...since there'd be only one. (I assume that the current reason for not tracking them is that they are too plentiful?) I like the idea, you could have a flag that is a sort of "reverse thief" in that it gives itself to ...

If the teams are full, I can easily see Observers feeding hints being ok. The advantage given by such an observer is probably minimal, and the observer can have fun by contributing to the battle. Sometimes I single out a player to follow and give advice. However, when I do this I usually set the obs...

That was the game it was made for. I'm converting it from midtown madness 2, an old game. I might do New York and London when I'm done. Little known fact: NYC was converted from midnight club 2, which is midtown madness's sister.

Isn't the config file computer-specific? One could put all the options in the map file anyway...

And when you say they would be "hosted live"...does that mean I upload the map, and BAM it's hosted? SWEEEEEET.

That looks pretty playable, but I'm pretty sure people will mostly stay on the ground. The shortest path between the bases goes around most of the obstacles. What I would do is, lower the two towers and put a bridge between them. That way people will be more tempted to use them. Or another (perhaps ...

That sounds like a pretty cool idea. One problem I have always had is that the maps I play on are often at the mercy of what's popular at the time.

I think it would sort of evolve to the point where there's a weekly game on some maps. People would find a time that works and keep using it.

My...mind...is...blown!

Does that take forever for the client to load? If the file is too big to host here it must be pretty heavy.

How many different textures is it using? Or does it stretch one texture over the whole thing?
