I had thought the laser length had been shortened, so as to not cause the ricocheting in the towers. I could be wrong about it being shortened, I'll have to check.

Other than that, I do believe it's one of the best maps around, and I enjoy maintaining it with tadd.

Yes, tadd's server, where I run Missile War off of, is located in Seattle, Washington, on the western coast of the USA. I believe it's located in a hotel basement. Also, most of the time you can determine the IP of a server by opening a command prompt, and pinging it. For example: "ping lodxcol...

Yeah, right. Those people have quite some reputation around here, all of them being server owners, and even administrators here at the board. BZFX is a server network run by a meteorite, that name is just one he uses for global groups.

I highly doubt your suspects are the actual culprits.

The list server was having outages earlier. That's probably why you were getting a bad login token. I don't know about your second issue, though..

Missile War Back Up!

hello, with the help of tadd, I am happy to announce that I have put ducatiwannabe's Missile War map back up.

It is being run on tadd's server, and can be accessed at lodxcol.bzflag.org:5200.

Hope you all have fun at this great map!

My MacBook uses an Intel GMA 950 card, and I have the same issue. Though adjusting the brightness does not solve my issue, I have to open a second client, and then close it. Only then does my brightness return to normal.

Laser, by far. If you're skilled enough, you can get a number of kills in no time at all. There's also a laser ricochet trick, that gets just about the entire board. That, combined with sitting in the corner sniping, equals lots of kills, fast.

Pretty much the same way. Open up a Command Prompt and type:

C:\Program*Files\BZFlag2.0.8\somefolder\bzflag.exe -solo #

(or whatever the correct path to the .exe is)

I always use /msg to start private messages (unless it was someone I identified, I press ',' then). Also, if you're going to use /msg, it's /msg recipient message. If you're sending to a user with spaces in their callsign, put quotation marks around it.

Okay, I can get it running, but I'm having some difficulty with groups. I've setup Admin and Cop permissions, but when I try to login to the server, I have a little "-" next my name, saying my callsign is registered already (and yes, the pass is right.) Also, registered users don't have a ...

blast, how would I find my internal address in Windows? I'm used to using the command line in Unix. Yes, I'm using a router, a Linksys WRT54G v5 (I think).

My Windows desktop is connected to the router, and the router is connected to my Cable Modem.
