Re: teamspeak/mumble etc
Just a side note to linux users. It could be, depending on your linux distribution, that the mumble overlay does not work when just starting mumble. It might be, that you, after starting mumble, have to start bzflag with a different command then just typing "bzflag". It seems the library f...

Re: teamspeak/mumble etc
Well, do not get me wrong. I dont want to start a flamewar now. I guess the fun talking to each other instead of writing will be the same either with ts3 or mumble. I've never tried teamspeak 3 so i dont know how it is. I used teamspeak 2 some years ago but when mumble seemed to be a serious alterna...

Re: GU League Player Poll - 20 min matches
I dont think votes of active players should count more than votes from inactive players. Every registered GU player who is on the spawnlist could have voted here. And every vote should have the same weight. Imagine you are a player who is inactive due to limited time. Now there is a poll about short...

Re: ubuntu intel 945GM low framerate
As far as I know the newer releases of ubuntu do not have the Xorg conf-file after installation. The path /etc/X11/xorg.conf is right though. But you have to create that file at first. Maybe this link can help you: http://www.osguides.net/operation-systems/217-how-to-create-xorgconf-in-ubuntu-910.ht...

Re: Voice Communication?
I am supporting the idea of using Voice Chat in bzflag, definitely would use it. Mumble as a choice would be great, even the mumble overlay works fine with bz. I would guess the autojoin thing could work via Ice although I used Ice only for getting the userlist from a mumble server. Some players lik...

Re: What about your operating system?
I am GNU/Linux user (Fedora12 right now) and have played the game on several distributions like Gentoo, Sabayon, Ubuntu and Archlinux during the last years. I also have a Windoze XP installed and played bz on it but the game runs better on Linux sytems (at least for me). So 99% of the time I am play...
