well i would expect it across a normal VLAN that's still within the same LAN locally, in say a whole office block. I know the difference between a VLAN and a VPN, what i meant by both of the things together was Hamachi, aka logmein. the way i see it, its a VPNetwork but its also a virtual LAN of sor...

thats what i figured, i take back my previous statement of layer 3 switches... they run at layer 2.. lol dumb moment, anyhows, yeah its just not user friendly for Marines to be typing ips when theyre not data-types xD so we will see what happens

also this can all be simluated across a VLAN VPN right?
