I have a library on iTunes that will play for about 4 days non-stop, almost 4500 songs!!! I'd like to listen to iTunes, but the lag interferes with my playing (Slow iMac;)) I'd love to be able to run iTunes while I play..but whenever it changes songs, my CPU usage jumps as well as lag. So I end up ...

I'm about 50/50 first person view/radar. I definitely don't think the radar should be made weaker as standard, but I do like the idea of giving more options for server settings to control the power of the radar, so that maps can be designed around how much the player will be able to rely on the rada...

I've used phantom zone to help me capture the flag before. I teleported to the phantom zone, drove right up to the opponents base unable to be shot, and teleported back to normal through a teleporter near them. Then I quickly dropped the PZ flag, grabbed the enemy flag, and went for the teleporter a...

Lan, I understand your point of view now, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking that maybe long-time supporters of the game were becoming hostile to new players "destroying the community" because they aren't entirely devoted to the game, which would include people like me who've been...

Yes, because we need advertisements for this previously close-knit, stress relieving and fun game, as we are short on players that are here to abuse the game, take it and leave it with no respect, create even more unused cliche servers, and further destroy what used to be a simple and organized com...

This game is definitely good enough to charge money for, but the fact that it is free means you can get anyone you know to play it and download, install and play it as much as you like. I think charging for it would pretty much cripple its user base. If you think that now the first page of servers g...

I was searching on Sourceforge for good open source games. BZFlag is by far the best I have come across.

I've also played Freeciv, if anyone else has tried that.

Hampshire, England.

Means I have to wait until later in the evening for busy servers, when everyone the other side of that six hour time gap finishes work :)

I used to play a lot of TimeSplitters 2, and I thought the character Ozor Mox from Planet X would make a good online name.

I found that on my laptop this will happen if I set one of the display settings too high. I don't have BZFlag installed here to find out which one, but I think it's the shader setting. It's the one that has options like Nearest Mipmap Nearest and Linear Mipmap Nearest... Setting it to anything linea...

Oh and by the way, can I just congratulate you for allowing registered players to change their usernames! I first chose my name without a space in case the game couldn't accept spaces, but alas it had absolutely no problem with it, so I added the space in my forum profile. I was of course expecting ...

yes, if your password was sent via /identify, assume someone has it.
So how safe is the global registration system? I mean can I use my regular password for these forums and the game, in that no one actually sees it through either?

Quick question...when I couldn't get it to work, I used the /register and /identify commands to see if those would work, by entering my password in. I read a post on here afterwards that those are no longer used because admins can clearly see passwords entered that way. Basically, is it a good idea ...

Aha! A Meteorite's suggestion about the set list line in the config.cfg file has solved the problem for me, I now get "Login approved" and a plus symbol next to my name! Gracef, may I suggest checking you definitely did that right, as my problem was identical to yours. Ta for the post Mete...

Hi all! I registered today and am having basically the same problem. I logged in and activated my forum account with no problem, and I am definitely using the right password from within BZFlag. I've even changed my password to see if special characters were a problem. But when I connect, I get a min...
