No reward? Did you never see the team score up in the corner? It seems to me you are being phenomenally selfish. You certainly don't seem interested in working for the team's good if there is no reward in it for you personally. To what GMMan is saying, you basically want the whole other team to lose...

This latest version is moving away from the KISS principle that made this map playable. It's symmetric, it's a well understood idea, and has several useful vantage points without going overboard. Personally, I saw the new changes and found them all abhorrent. The last version was in my opinion the b...

Well, the problem with this (which I'm sure has been discussed previously, though I don't feel like hunting for it) is that then capturing the flag is no longer a team effort for a team gain. Furthermore, what skill have you used to deserve those points? At least with geno you have to *hit someone*....

Your server is starting with a local address, and trying to tell the list server that this is the public IP to use, but the router is NATing it, and thus replies are not received. You need -public ...something. Someone help me out with the setting. The router also needs to have stateful connections ...

For a blast from the past
http://web.archive.org/web/200104191830 ... up_id=3248
has source back to 1.7c (1999)
EDIT: ok, the second one is rather useless, and you can get it on SF anyway.

The problem, actually, is a common weakness of some physics engines. But here it has several manifestations. The basic case is this: the tank moves along velocity vector, then collisions are checked. If the tank has moved too far along in one time step, it is now inside (or on the other side(the F5 ...

Well stated pogovina. Why must you worry so much about what other people do? Because it can affect you. The internet isn't a fad where children go to carouse. It is a serious business, where money is made and lost, and sites have legal weight. I don't agree with a lot of what Lan is saying (hell, I...

There's a few practical problems here: 1. There is absolutely no code for doing this currently in bzfs, list server, or client 2. Lots of queries to the list server to find friends would come from everyone until the list server fell on its face. ****WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS CONSIDERED BZFLAG SACRIL...

Well, it is possible, and no, it doesn't throw the gamestate out of whack to do it. You're not actually slowing down time, your slowing down the tank speed, shot speed, reload speed, etc. Also, it certainly is possible in the current code, since it's essentially SW. All that said, I don't like it. ...

You know, I know about myspace, but it never really interested me enough to actually ever visit the site (web2.0 is for children, after all). So, I just visited it for the first time. Here is my reaction: 1. Why anyone ever paid millions of dollars to own it is beyond me. 2. I really expected someth...
