Sadly I have to agree with the original poster. This game has gone to hell in the new version. No real thought given to gameplay and no marked improvements in graphics or response (i.e. frame rates, lag, etc...). Other than some fancy new flags which do more to hurt things than help and a login syst...

Perhaps the current problems are largely due to the server owners not tweaking the maps as they should be. However, the simple truth of it is that the vast majority of the servers out there will use whatever the default settings are rather than bothering to change them, especially since they aren't ...

So let me get this straight, the setting intentionally makes GM unable to kill anyone within a certain time peroid of firing? The developers intentionally made a variable that defines a certain time frame which must pass before the GM bullet is able to interact with the the environment? As far as th...

Serious GM bug in 2.0.0
Alright, I already posted this once and someone deleted it, but I'm going to post it again because I feel it is a serious bug. When using GM in 2.0.0 it is literally impossible to kill someone who is directly in front of you. They can sit right in front of you and not die even though you are constan...

Honestly if I wanted to play Balloon Fight I would, but apparently the powers that be decided that a new way to play it was desperately needed so the Wings flag was introduced. As par usual, little thought was given to balancing this flags power making it arguabley the most powerful flag in the game...

What really annoys me is when certain people start complaining when the language filter does its job and $%^$#$$ shows up on the screen. Somehow they get offended by random characters. I understand the desire to shelter your kids from inappropriate language, but your kids aren't going to learn anyth...

I was certainly not advocating any type of modification that would affect the rules of gameplay. ... As long as your following the rules of the game over the network, and it doesn't provide you any advantage with respect to other players, it's all good in my book. From what I understand, the rules ...

- How long do you plan on maintaining a database of every callsign used? - Will there be limits on the number of times a person can register with whatever central database will be keeping all these in game call signs? - Will there be any real incentive to use the same name day in and day out for tho...

trepan: scorch was talking about editing the code to not notify people when the autopilot was turned on. rpg then said he tried that, but people started to notice the autopilots playing style while he was using it. editing the code and recompiling to obtain a new client with features different from ...

yea, scorch, i tried that once and it worked icon_smile.gif The bad part is that some people notice the 'autopilot' playing style, like spraying multiple shots in rapid succession, nonlinear turning movements, and jumping to avoid bullets instead of dodging. I was running in autopilot for about fiv...

well.. sounds like im never going to have any karma under that system then. i never play under the same call sign twice. usually, i just hit the keyboard a few times for a nick which produces things along the lines of: sdgj rwuoi nbl oyre and play using those. it prevents people form expecting anyth...

Well, I thought sid6.7's response was pretty clear. It is perfectly reasonable to assume that all posts in a board such as this are responding directly to the first post unless they specifically reference a different post posted later on. I was honestly more confused by Patlabor221's second post res...

Yeah, turkey has been downfor awhile now... I'm not even sure if hashmark is still up these days. I was just using it as an example of the kind of servers that I like/hate. Edit: A quick note on camper spots. A well setup camper spot should be attackable from at least 3 directions. Preferrably the c...
