Wow, making that must have taken an inordinate amount of time. I've been programming on my 84 for a while now, but never made anything like that. I applaud your efforts ;)

You're "downloading C++"? How does one download a programming language? Come on, you must know what he means. Trying to cause some grief or something? Sheesh. My post was entirely genuine. I have no clue what he is doing. It's not possible to download a programming language. Sorry if I wa...

IMHO

With suggesting flags, it really has to be something that would add to the game. I think that the shotgun thing has some potential, with a slow reload time, but the Galaga thing seems pretty lame/useless to me. I mean, two shots? I can click twice for that, and two at once would be a pain to aim. EDI...

OMG!!!! Best mac game (series) ever: Myst. Been playing ever since the first one. After Myst, you won't need anything else. Except BZFlag, of course.

Bleh.

What a boring thread. Also, not exactly BZ related.

Latin, English, Applescript :P, some C++, some Python, Basic, and some other stuff.

Once upon a time...

Oooh man, back in high school. I really can't remember how I originally found it, as I lost interest after a month or so. Towards the end of last year, I rediscovered it (and I am inexplicably quite good, IMHO), and can't go a single day without playing. :P
Also, a longtime fan of Spectre.

C\C++

I once tried to learn C++, but I didn't really like it. There is a steep learning curve, but it is probably the most serious programming language. If you really want to learn, here are some links: http://newdata.box.sk/bx/c/index.htm http://www.mindviewinc.com/downloads/TICPP-2nd-ed-Vol-one.zip I ha...

I love my self.

The more I think about this flag idea, the more I like it. The strategic possibilities are endless. Imagine jumping to dodge, and then falling straight down again to return fire. Or, dodge that pesky Wings guy. Also, drop off a platform with less risk.

Yet Another Flag Suggestion: Gravity Control

Okay, since so many other people come up with new flag ideas, I want to also.

My idea: this flag, Gravity Control, lets you control how fast you fall in mid-jump. While in the air you can hold down the jump key and it will make you drop more quickly.

Any thoughts?

Image FYI

BMP image files don't compress at all, and are therefore rather large. Also, they can't do layers or transperancy. They are, strangley enough, a Microsoft creation. Longhair is right, in that you should always save a copy as an XCF or PSD, because it lets you work on individual layers repeatedly and...

I much prefer two shorter lines (I'm so lazy I don't even want to move my eyes.) than one long line that goes across the entire screen.

Wonderfultastic

The version I've been using appears to be a beta release for Spectre VR. I always customize my tank to max speed and armor, with only 20 shots before reload, which akes the higher levels kinda tricksy.

Spectre?

Has anyone here ever play the old Mac game 'Spectre'? I've been looking back through my old computers, and found this gem. I have spent countless hours playing this addictive tank game!

Well done.

I like! I think you should leave the background gray. I believe it is not centered up/down wise, perhaps fix that? Otherwise, excellent.

Hey, Laser, I hope you don't mind me doing some poking at it, since you haven't done it. I made it sharper, cut out the gradient (which didn't look so good in ASCII), and stuff.

Nah.

I still think the flag should be trashed. Adding another map for PZ would not really add anything to the game; it would just add another map to get used to. Windows Vista 'sux.' Any dissenters will be ranted at. ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a most excellent signature. Heehee...thanks.

(random title here)

I always find it irritating when any 3D text is slanted like that; I would prefer a straight-on view. Also, if you centered it a bit better, with less gray space on the sides, it would improve it vastly. On the subject of rendering, I loooooove POV-Ray.

AAARGGH!!!!

Way too complicated. Any flag that needs that much description is excessive.
The base issue that PZ is pretty sucky would best be solved, IMHO, by simply removing it from the next version.
