Oh, I used to have the same problem a few months ago.
Your gamma is screwed up. Try and get your computer to force a gamma of 1.0 for everything.

Oh. I guess that's an okay idea. I kinda like the idea of everyone setting their own tank as a specific model everyone else can see better, though. You can already sorta change the paint jobs of the tanks by screwing around with the textures in the game folder, but I can see where you're coming from...

I have a similar idea that would be a lot simpler to implement. Each tank has a dot appear in front of it that shrinks with the tank as it gets farther away. Even if the tank goes behind a wall, the dot would always remain visible on your view. The dot could be colored or not. Sorta like all that in...

You could just screw around with teleports to get a similar effect. Make teleports around the area, and go to corresponding teleports in a completely different area that are inside a dark-surfaced environment. Done correctly, it would make it seem like you haven't even gone anywhere, just a differen...

Dude, what? Then what's the point? You can't see your own tank anyway except for your treads if you have that option on.donny_baker wrote:It only affects your client.. the others will not see how you have your tanks set.??? Hidden radar objects?
How about a setting where the radar may be available so you can see the map, but have a setting where tanks and/or flags can always be visible or invisible in various ways. Here are a few examples. 1. No tanks on radar. This is like a radarless game except you can still see the map, but you still ha...

Wow. I dunno what you did, but this thing runs like a dream. I barely drop below 30 even with Energy Saver off and even with all the fancy effects on their very fullest (I love the new shots,) the game still averages out around 50, sometimes peaking around 75. And this is with my processor-consuming...

Opponents always stealthed?
Is there a way so that you can still have a radar that'll show you your position on the map along with all of your teammates, yet everyone who isn't on your team is invisible to you and you're invisible to anyone not on your team?

Digital control
I bought a pair of Gravis Gamepad Pro controllers on eBay and the sale went right before I noticed a similar pair of controllers with analog sticks for only five bucks more. Now I'm stuck with digital control and the moving is really unsmooth and inaccurate. Any way to make the control a bit smoothe...

1) what OS? 2) have you actually checked the memory usage to see if it's increasing? or does the framerate just drop? 3) is this a laptop? is it perhaps kicking into a lower power mode? 4) do you have the current video drivers for the chipset? from the manufacturer? 1. Windows XP SP2 (MC Edition) 2...

Bombing framerate
This has been an issue that's been bugging me since I first installed the game. I start out my game, I've got a smooth 60+ FPS going, and I can actually see what I'm doing and I start racking up the points. Then, after about maybe 10-15 minutes, my framerate suddenly is PEAKING at 30FPS and getting ...

The Room
Got another map ready, a CTF cage map.
In TWO versions!
One's the original, completely untouched from the first time I made it, to an updated "deluxe" version that's a bit prettier and makes the game a little less frenzied.

Here's a bit of an update to the map. Well, okay, I added about twice as many platforms and improved the cosmetics a bit. Also made every platform shoot-through. EDIT: Bit of an update to the current version - some corresponding teleporters were uneven. EDIT 2: Switched the base layout to match that...

Floating Islands of Oceana
Just something I came up with in BZEdit and added water to. There's a bunch of floating islands and it's got four-way symmetry. Also a couple of teleports - at the corners for transport, on the second-outer ring to make flag captures a bit more difficult, and a set in the center for... Well, you'll ...

New technique I've come up with...
I've come with an interesting technique that might prove useful in CTF matches that have superflags. It's called the CLST (Pronounced "closet".) and it's basically how it sounds. A cloaker (CL) and stealther (ST) infiltrate an enemy base together while keeping in very close proximity to ea...
