that map is absolutely dreadful

lol j/k man its actually pretty sweet. cant wait to see how it plays out. Keep workign on the map, or else soon you will lose complete interest, delete it, and wish to hell that you hadnt done that.

go to the wiki pages and look up groups that should help a lot. It took me a little while to understand them fully, but when i understood it, it was a breeze and saved me a lot of time on my maps.

It wont take that long to texture it if you use a group... Using a group will minimize the time from like 5hrs to 5mins.

If you want a host for your maps, i suggest contacting Ahs3, cruel dog, nn, or many other hosts. all you need to do is private message them a copy of your map file, and tell them the configs that you want your map to be. Then it's a matter of time until they get the map up. :)

the pictures at the dead ends scared the crap out of me when i first tested this map. I was just spaced out wandering the tunnels and boom, a creepy picture. I almost peed myself... not really but its a great map.

I figured out a way to make it work after talking to Ahs3.

I used bzedit and put the teleporters where i wanted them and added the links. then i opened it into a text editor, and copied and pasted the teleporter stuff into my map file. :idea-alt:

Wow I am very impressed: you revisions covered about everything I was going to say. What types of flags are you planning to have? I was thinking of maybe the following flags: -Laser -Gm -Geno -Sw- -sb -Narrow -Cl -St -SE Those are the ones that come to mind at the moment, I'll have to test it again...

ok, i've figured out what i did wrong, i didnt have any groups, and i had the stuff in the wrong quadrants. one minor problem though. When i tested the map, my texture came out sideways, any idea how to make it so that my texture matches the rest of the walls? define wall material name wall texture ...

Does anyone know how to make something "one way"
by that i mean like one way shootthrough and one way drivethrough... i want to do that for the front of the castle.
