Re: Apocalypse In Action :: Planet MoFo
Hmm, that could be the difference. I was still alive, esc'd to set team to green and then hit connect. I've not tracked my methods in the past when I switch teams, but seems I've done it while alive before. Guess like you said, sometimes it happens, this was just a first for me. I hate F12er's. Many...

Feedback:
Switched from 3v1 G/R to Red to balance the teams and got shortbanned F12 noob! for 6h. WTF? New plug in? Needs tweaking I think.

Re: Geno bullet style
Sorry Jeff, I don't have the programmer brain. This is just coming from a player perspective and seeing if someone else wants to run with the idea.

Geno bullet style
SB has a different look to the bullet. Could Geno as well have a different than normal visual style? Thinking a regular bullet sphere but with a skull/crossed bones in the center of it kind of thing. Or Mr Yuck (but trademark probably). Even a smaller black sphere in the middle. Something to differe...

Have you run the game at least once? Could be the file doesn't exist yet as it will get created the first time you start the app. The game has an interface to set keys. Only time you need to edit the file is for adding extra stuff. I always add an extra zoom level, but most everything else is throug...

Right, but this is after major hoop jumping. I had to make an nlite install of windows trimming out a bunch of stuff that I normally turn off anyway, but there's something else that nlite did to make BZ work ok. If I just do a plain XP install, I get jitter in the 10-60 range! There's too much to li...

The very opening screen says it's an 8800gts, sse2, PCI. Last night I did a format/nlite install since I was getting tired of messing about with F6/intel ahci drivers. I was able to play with +1 jitter! I trimmed out a bunch of stuff from XP and I also left vsync on so I'm only at 60fps (which real...

I'm using the task manager in Windows to set affinity because on my x2 it was the only way to get playable output. Figured it was an overall Windows thing as others had the same problem with other games and the affinity was the solution. Portal First Slice uses all of one core, second core is practi...

Yeah, I have super old 3d games - I really only play BZ as of late - so I'm looking for other demos. I found on my previous machines, AMD x2 3800, that I had to set the affinity to a single core, otherwise it was horrible performance. I assmued that I had to do the same thing, that it was a crappy w...

As a non developer type person, where lies the problem then? I've installed this system just like all my other systems. WinXP, Intel inf update, intel sata drivers, nvidia drvers, sound drivers, BZ. I updated to the absolute latest BIOS, no help. The very opening screen says it's an 8800gts, sse2, P...

Massive jitter on newest hardware
My "old" system was an Intel 975x chipset with an E6600 (2.66GHz dual core/800MHz fsb) processor, Nvidia 7950, 4Gb of DDR2/800 running WindowsXP 32 and Ubuntu. Under Windows, I had to set the process affinity to a single cpu otherwise jitter was very high but after that BZ plays fine. Stan...

map rendering and radar oddity
So I'm building a map with floors (building/office space) but I have to have four box objects per floor due to shaft openings and such. I noticed in the radar there are lines showing the divisons between the box objects. I have everything lined up perfectly so there should be no overlap. I tested wi...

CVS version 1.9a0.6.30/win32 and BU flag
Not sure if the devels have a different bug list for the new version so I'm posting here so someone knowledgeable can enlighten me. :) I was messing around with the new client and found that when I had the burrow flag and shot myself, I died in the normal arc skywards, but never came down. I just ke...
