map editors

What map editors are people using for the new maps? I've been using BZEdit, but I'd like to try others. I'd also like to find a reliable and easy-to-use front end for BZFS. BZEdit's version worked well for 1.10.x but not for 2.0. I'd prefer a windows platform as I have my fill of Linux at work, but ...

I love the incremental zoom in/out idea but...

Is there a way to get it to continuously zoom in or out while holding down a button on the steering wheel (ditto for the keyboard). OK. Thanks for the help, everyone. BZEdit version: 1.6.1 Sorry I forgot to specify that. Anyway, the problem has been found. I had a link added that was not attached to any teleporters. I must have double-clicked ADD at some point. Thanks for all the hints - they got me looking in the right direction.

Disappearing objects

After a year of playing, I've finally decided to take a swing at building a map. BZEdit is great (albeit primitive when you're used to AutoCAD et al) but it seems to have some bugs. Either that, or I just keep doing the same things over and over again. I was going to lead off with a solid-pyramid-on...
