For example , I asked two questions, but it's not clear to me if the council is actually looking in to it. As I consider myself an active ducati player I would appreciate it If I got some feedback on those things. A council member responded to your post. Why wouldn't you think we were lookiing into...

catay: Yeah, I wonder , if 15/20/30 had the most votes .. why was it never implemented that way ? birdie: the vote looks pretty clear to me Would someone from the council please explain why the match times were changed to 15/30 min, when the voting results were in favor of 15/20/30 min matches to t...

No, it was a test page.

And it has been deactivated now until it has a real use. Thanks for taking your time to point out that the test was still up.

hmmmk... it's still not working. I'm wondering is this the right behavior for the -g -time thing. Is it ment to shutdown the server after the time limit, or simply wait untill everyone leaves the server? can someone please enlighten me as to what i'm doing wrong :) ? Where are you running this? The...

The server is back up and running at a temporary location. The domain expiration is somewhat irrelevant because we're migrating away from the domain where it was anyway and to silvercat.bzflag.org, but the migration wasn't complete, so it was just a CNAME. Silverfox is alive and well and QUITE busy ...

Re: A little more information...

I am running this on my home network, no ISP is involved and no DNS server. Two Windows PCs, one running both the server and client and the second is only running the client. I don't think I can put x.x.x.x.in.arpa records in a host file on the server but I will check. It seems like this feature wa...

Would getting yourself a .dyndns.org domain help, then the reverse lookup has two possible entrys to find? No, reverse is always the same no matter how many names you have pointing to the IP in the forward direction. There are only a certain set of authoritative servers for any particular IP addres...

I have had this problem as well. As it was explained to me, the problem is the server is looking up YOUR IP address in order to be able to apply hostbans. Therefore, there is no way to bypass the process, and unfortunately since it is the server's DNS query that has to time out, not yours, you canno...

Re: Abuse:

If this works well, I may put a .htaccess on there, and make the map run longer, but give access to the webpage only to those who ask for it. We can quite easily set up a global group on bzbb (SILVERCAT.MAPMAKER?) and set the script up to allow access only from that group. I have successfully used ...

/kill has lots of value to me... I use it as a pre-kick warning to folks. Lots of people (especially newer ones) don't always read messages. But if you /kill them they will often read the reason. I've seen it work quite well. Also, if you have a situation with very uneven teams (numerically) and a f...

that's just it, color does NOT mean team. 4 teams is enough for now. But in teamless games let them pick any skin color for just personal expession.. The team is color thinking is gonna have to be broken, tho I don't know if people can do that. Heh, you're right... but I'd like more team color opti...

we can also think about unlocking new colors for the true Open modes, since color dosn't mean team. like allow the orange, and white tanks, and add colors like brown, yellow, pink, teal and others. this would allow for more player expression ( allmost a skin ) in the open games. More team colors wo...

actually wouldnt this be impossible because the server does not keep track of captures the client does and CTFs are when a tank enters the base region... so the server doesnt keep track of captures. and since bzadmin doesnt keep track of where the players are... it would be impossible to have bzadm...
