Re: A new matching variant for GU league

I find this new concept intriguing, I like it. If I remember correct, this was already used in bzmatchball, and brought some activity there. I can understand both poins of view (discussing it in all deep or focusing on other stuff because the influence is negligible), but it is a lil bit tiresome to...

Re: Reset zelo and timelimit

Pink Brit, are you aware of the 1000-zelo-bug? If the difference between both players is bigger than 1000, the higher rated one loses points, no matter what - even if he wins the match. If the difference is between 700-800 zelos, the higher rated player hardly gets any additional zelos. For example:...

Compiling 2.4 on Windows - help needed

I tried to compile 2.4 with VC2008++ , but I have some problems here. Maybe one can point me in the right direction; I was able to compile 2.0. based on this guide http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=13675&start=0 , so I thought I give 2.4 a try, using the same environment. But the ...

Re: Fair Play (or lack thereof)

This is a very entertaining thread! ;-) I took some time to watch the replays of both matches, and nothing the player snick complains about is - objectivly watched - true. I think its all said in some postings above. He blames the other team for things he / his team is accountable. Even worse, the c...

Re: Duc map with bots, help needed

Thnx for the help,

the duc map works now.

"...you could try setting your team color to only allow one player ..."
That works, I have 1 slot in green, 5 in red. If I start -solo 6, and join green, all bots join red.

Duc map with bots, help needed

I want to set up a ducati style map with bots for a private lan server. I have 2 questions: # I saved a ducati map and loaded it as a world file... that works, but I have everytime the same map. How can I do it like it is in duc? Everytime - or after a superkill - a new map? # I want to bring a lot ...

reported / computed hits

I like to watch matches in gu/duc league and would like to know what is the difference between computed / reported hits? There is normally a difference between that 2 variables, sometimes small, sometimes really big. Why is there this difference and is it a hint of cheating (small tank?)? I would re...

Re: failure in compiling - how to fix - help needed

I can confirm,
with subversion repository 20648,
I only get the "dereferencing type-punned pointer" - the "unused variable" is gone.

Till now there havent been problems, with the compiled binaries, so I think we can close this topic.
