Mandrake has problems because of a generic install of 3dmesa. I used to run Mandrake and that was the problem. See if it helps any when ya install a copy of 3dMesa.... Its not admin privelages... He's sending a shot that does not exist, thus your client freaks and causes you to either go NR or kills the client completely.... As for blocking his attack.. How would ya go about setting up logging for bzflag?
Have linux log all traffic from the specific port? What about callsigns?

bzfs taking 100% cpu time?
Anybody know of a problem where bzfs takes 100% of the cpu time? Another operator has a problem where it will all the sudden take 100% and everybody gets glitchy graphics.
