Re: Can anyone explain the mines to me in Clay Hill Free for
Wow! Thanks Bambino... that link explained quite a bit, especially how that player blew himself up with the mysterious blow up comment at the bottom of the write up...excellent link! ;) Thanks joevano! I did go in there last night and found out about the useless flag (and set a sw mine), but the res...

Re: Can anyone explain the mines to me in Clay Hill Free for
Yeah I did read the intro and the commands using the /mines list it feature that was shown when I logged in... yet I don't understand several things... do I have to be holding the SW flag to place a /sw mine? and what does it do exactly..place it where I drop a flag, drop a mine and I still hold my ...

Re: Dodging GM's while in the air
Well a visit back... I recently learned that, that particular friend is a smart #*!...and stood back far enough to yank my chain that you could shoot down GM...as it was meant to time out right in front of me... LOL! He went on how good I was at it... oh man oh man. I fell for it. I admit it! Luckil...

Re: Unofficial After Install Help File
The Getting Started link could really use some help, it didn't help him. Didn't know I had rights to edit it. Thanks for letting me know I could, cause I will. The pdf was a more personalized way to get him to understand how to get on and play, he is a non technie, so it was still worth it. I think ...

Re: Unofficial After Install Help File
Well, I already updated it to include types of games on the server and what the Help file visual looks like and information you can set in it. Hence reposting this pdf, as #3.

InfraRed , were you logged in to this forum when you clicked on the image links? That seems to be a requirement, just as it is for posting. Yeah, pretty sure, otherwise how would I have been able to post my comment....but good thing I came back today and good thing I wrote that comment. The links w...

Unofficial After Install Help File
I made this file for my friend, who is like a little bro, who can't seem to figure out how to actually run the program after he installed it. I thought I would post this unofficial pdf for others to use, and comment on as well. What is missing that would help my little bro noob play me and show me t...

Re: Dodging GM's while in the air
If you are too close to a GM when it is fired, it sometimes goes through you even if the other player got a lock. How close was your friend to you? Of course, it could be possible InfraRed is completely wrong or lying, but just hoping to come up with a logical explanation. Not really sure how close...

Re: Dodging GM's while in the air
Uh, no. Did it time out? Like you were _just_ far enough from the guy that his missile timed out? Thank you Bambino for a possible logical explanation. It happened at least 7 times. Even saw a bot do it on my private server, or thought I did, mind you that bot got shot by it on the second GM missil...

Re: Dodging GM's while in the air
I thought the same thing at first that Bambino said. So I went into an empty map with a friend and he did it and I did it....and it is quite useful in Rabbit games where like I said...he (or she, since I'm a she) thinks he got you and moves on to the next hunter. Then you've got him (or her)... ha. ...

Re: Dodging GM's while in the air
Yeah, aim is super important... a fireball missile coming at you...stare it down coming and you and jump to meet it's height... and shoot it down. I find if you've successfully shot it down, the tank that aimed at you usually moved on to another target visually and mentally, and you can then succes...

Re: Need Help with public server!!!
I know how to make a configuration file. I just can't seem to make it run.I tried the suggestion above, but after I type "C:\Program Files\BZFlag2.0.10" and hit enter it gives the error message I posted earlier. If I do "C:\Program Files\BZFlag2.0.10\bzfs.exe" and hit enter, I c...

Re: Why you play BzFlag
I was introduced to BZ Flag about two months ago. Now my Wii is getting dusty. It truly beats my favorite Wii game, Linksys Crossbow training (which is straight shoot at game, all 27 of them). I can't stop, help me, no don't help me... it is the best stress reliever! I'm addicted now too... I have i...

Re: Specific OO flag question.
Yeah... I kinda thought that might be the case....was hoping though..guess being sealed and no shooting protects you from blowing yourself up...not sure about why I couldn't flatten him though...maybe the seal extends to that to...will probably try again to see... Definitely rabbit game, blast, you ...

Specific OO flag question.
In one rabbit game, someone had OO flag and was hiding in a building. I had OO flag and went into the same building... couldn't shoot him....couldn't run over (flatten) him...he/she just stayed there for a ridiculous amount of time. So, my question, has anyone found a way to kill that OO flag holder...

Re: Dodging GM's while in the air
I like to try to shoot that GM. I've noticed that other people don't try that...
I mean you obviously have to be facing it, and the height match of your shot to it, really seems to matter, but I get it more and more often with practice. So I suggest that too!

Re: GM locking on
I add...guided missile does NOT lock onto Stealth. Alot of people don't know about lock on, which when you don't have GM, tells you who you are "looking at" by using the hotkey you have set for it. Helpful should someone have the team flag and not know it, you can tell them. You should rev...
