Try this: Put a radio in a sealed metal box (like the electronics in a tank), and see if it can pic up anything. It won't. The EM waves from the radio transmitter won't be able to pass through the metal, they will be absorbed by it. Same with EMP. EMP is just a pulse of electricity that radiates out...

A railgun uses two rails with a capacitor bank across the rails. Projectile enters the rails, kaboom, current passes through projectile and projectile gets accellerated forward. Why not just have the ability to move up a wall w/o jumping? You just drive forward, and you go up the wall at the same speed you would go forward. It would be simpler, and you wouldn't have to worry about aiming.

It would look funy though...

I just searched for servers, and found none. What happened? I'm guessing it is not a clientside problem because I haven't screwed with my internet connection, and I can post here...

I like the idea of a "fast" server, but I think that if you want it so that you can practice, it should be free style, rogues only. That way there would be a lot more chances of shooting/dodging.

I couldn't get it to work before (on my mac). Then I tried opening the "BZFlag" Program inside the BZFlag package using the -solo command, and it worked. Maybe you are having similar troubles?

BTW, I don't know how packages work on PCs, or if they even have them.

The main reason I brought this up was because I had been there before, and no one had any problems. I'm just wondering if it was by chance that no one told me to get lost that time, or if this is what normally happens.

Private Servers?

I tried joined a game on paran0id.mine.nu, and was told "go away homo, this is a private server". A, this was very rude, B what is a private server? And why is it listed when a check for severs? How am I supposed to know where I am welcome?

Could someone explain this to me?

Another option is to make the rabbit bestowment based on a flag. You have the rabbit flag, you are it. When you die, you drop the flag, and it's a scramble. That happened to me a few times. Once i picked up the GM Well dressed gentleman 3 times in a row, and once the laser was right in front of me when I respawned. Maybe the place that the tank respawns in and where the flags fall are random, but because they happened one after the other they are close ...
