Re: Concept Idea for activity

I am aware of the social club aspect of leagues, but right now it seems like we have too many players chatting and not enough playing matches. As the saying goes, "less yap; more cap." Monster, what value do you see in league members who choose (for whatever reasons) not to play official matches? C...

Re: Concept Idea for activity

I support this idea and I think it can increase overall activity under two conditions. First and foremost, teams need to be balanced which will be the hardest part ( I don't think player rating like used in 1vs1 league will work properly, however, I'd suggest assessing the players and allocating the...

Re: Consolidation

Agree with the idea of adding 1-2 new maps to the map range, it's refreshing and might add an extra incentive for players to give the new league a chance. Not sure if adding the duc style later or from the beginning in the map rotation would make any difference concerning the amount of players that ...

Re: Match Points and Lengths

Regarding match lengths: I don't think we should have a general match length for both Ducati maps and hix maps. During a hix match there are some recurring actions like defending/attacking around the corner, base fighting etc that take up a lot of time, therefore, I wouldn't go below 20 minutes matc...

Re: config file key mapping

Unfortunately, that doesn't work either. Tried deleting it and re-downloading it, and it does rebuild the application Bzflag folder, but the folder only contains the cache data - no new config Edit: Nevermind, restarted my Mac and re-downloaded it. Got an all fresh BZflag folder with config etc, lau...

Re: config file key mapping

hi levi Im experiencing the same. Cant modify my config. Everytime I type in a new command and save it, it has not effect on BZflag when launching. Afterwards when looking on my config, the line I just typed in has gone... I had the bad idea of deleting my config thinking it would refresh itself... ...

Re: Recruiting System

BZflag has always been a very special game for special people playing it. Most of the players used to learn it the hard way, this isn't an easy game by any means. That's the reason why not so many people play it in comparison to FPS like COD, and it's perfect the way it is.

Yup, made a screenshot today on BZflag:

When I turn off my energy saver I instantly get this high frame rate and my mac is heating up.

Good one, Blast

Re: Mouse Wheel Acceleration on Macbook Air

I've just tested it. I usually limit my FPS to 60FPS because otherwise it automatically goes up to about 900 FPS and my Macbook starts getting louder. So, I didn't notice any differences when using energy saver turned on/off, unfortunately... Still the same big gaps in my spread.

Re: Mouse Wheel Acceleration on Macbook Air

@Joevano I've already set the scrolling speed up to as high as possible. It works, on browsers, Skype etc, the scrolling is faster - However, it doesn't affect BZFlag.

@ Constitution So that means a higher FPS rate might help?

Re: Mouse Wheel Acceleration on Macbook Air

Well, to be honest I'm not really familiar with the technical aspect of "Overdrive". It was suggested by a friend of mine for modifying mouse settings, but what you said seems logical to me. He says that Apple uses different curves of acceleration for scrolling, so I tried to modify it...

Mouse Wheel Acceleration on Macbook Air

I downloaded "USB Overdrive" to modify the speed of my mouse in general and the speed when scrolling. Both worked out for example when surfing online. However, even though, I set the scrolling speed up to as high as possible, I haven't notice a change when shooting bullets on BZflag (I'm using "whee...

Re: BZFlag on Macbook

Well, I guess you mean the version I'm using right now. Ashvala has allready sent me a link so I can download the new version with changed settings for my Intel 4000.If we are talking about the same version, I can state that this version runs significantly smoother on my Mac then the former one. How...

Re: BZFlag on Macbook

Well, I noticed this problem when my Mac was plugged in and when it it was not. By the way, I spoke to Ashvala and he thinks this hardware jitter problem appears because of the graphic card I'm using.

Re: BZFlag on Macbook

Well, at first thank you for your quick reply. I've just tried turning off Smoothing. At first I tried it out on a server where I was alone. I don't know if it was just the placepo effect but it appeared to me that it worked better, no stuttering. Then I switched to a server with more people (about ...

BZFlag on Macbook

Hey guys, I've been playing Bzflag for a while on an usual computer using Windows XP. Everything has worked out perfectly, no stuttering, smooth playing. Lately, I bought myself a new Macbook Air 2012. Of course I wanted to try out how BZflag runs on a Mac - unfortunately, I was disappointed of the ...

I also get quickly angry when I'm matching because I always want to give my best. So, in my opinion it's human that you want to express your emotions - but now there's the difference how I handle these emotions. I joined the GU-league in 2010 and since then I've never got banned. Why? Because I don'...
