I agree with LouMan. I can't understand why people have to complain so much in bzflag. I for one am very gratefull that Thumper has put one of my maps on norang. I had to give up my dedicated server due to the cost, and I can't run a server from home, so I say thank you Thumper! When people complain...

Well, I got my callsign from Neverwinter Nights. I was playing Neverwinter Nights shortly before I found bzflag. I had used several callsigns before, but everyone started calling me Aribeth, so I decided to keep the name. :)

Hi Daddo,
Do you have pybzedit as source code? I'm running Gentoo Linux and cannot use the win32 installer. I already have Python, etc installed so I don't need them in the pybzedit package, just the pybzedit code.

Thanks

I agree with Lan56. This kind of voting system could have the potential to give good servers a bad rating. The old adage comes to mind, "Vote early and vote often."

I believe this forum is the best place to discuss these issues, and more people should take advantage of this resource.

I ran the map on sleepycows for a few days, so here is my take on it. 1. I tweaked the tank speed server variable so it wouldn't take so long to get across the map. 2. I increased the shot speed and range as well as the shock wave range. I had reports that the map was a good laser and sniper map. Ve...

DOH! It helps to specify the correct map doesn't it! Yes, I'm running the map in a chroot jail. I just stripped it out of the command to simplify things. I upgraded the server to 1.10.6 the day after it came out. I use the -prohibitBots mainly because some players were flooding the server wit...

I've checked the bases in the map file, and the config file has the -c and -mp 0,4,4,4,4,3 switches set, but it still blows up. Is there anything else I need to define in the config file for ctf?

need help with CTF config file setup

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post. I'm having trouble getting a CTF server running. I get the following error when I start the server: base was not defined for team 1, capture the flag game style removed. I want to have teams of red, green, blue, and purple with 4 players for...

gtkgl-2.0

I get this error when compiling bzedit for linux. Does anyone know where I can find this package? I have searched the internet with no luck so far. Thanks. Package gtkgl-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtkgl-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_...
