For what it's worth, I have an NVidia 5600 series card from about 1 year ago. It crashes a lot, after anywhere from 5 minutes of play to 2 hours of play. I've been through 10 or 12 different driver sets now, and it still crashes at random intervals while playing bzflag. That's the only OpenGL softw...

yes, on radar its yellow because black would give it a serious advantage. Much like the current blue color does, but for some reason that has remained unchanged (at least by default). you can change it rr in your bzflag.bzc file..somewhere on your HD...look for a post someone gave me on color chang...

I think the only flag that isn't really hated is Useless because it does absolutley nothing to hurt you and absolutley nothing to help you. Other than being something for TH to steal that isn't worthwhile stealing. There's really no need to hate that one, it just sits there and looks like a flag :P

The only thing that really makes me jump is right when you pick up Trigger Happy in 2.0. BOOOOM, scares me out of the chair sometimes, not expecting it.

I have this problem too; I posted on the forum about it some time ago as well. The ATI Radeon Mobility IGP320M that my laptop has is too old/not powerful enough to support the binary drivers so I'm stuck with DRI; they just got DRI working on that chip too. No way to fix it yet I'm afraid.

Bringing this back to the top (it was never fixed), it has gotten worse - I think this is DRI related though. I posted a bug at DRI's sf.net bugtracker.

No change. Right now I'm installing the DRI-CVS.

Alright, some information: it seems like the text is progressively better as you go across the typeface images. See this example: http://turbogfx.homelinux.org/imgfiles/bzfi0000.png The text in the red box is typed according to the layout in the "fixedmr.png" image, line by line. Notice ho...

Nope, haven't tried Mesa yet, although I do notice xorg building it - how do I switch to it? However first let me get my X server working first, i recently had some mishap and it's recompiling right now...

Each letter of text has different opacity

http://turbogfx.homelinux.org/bzfi0000.png Also, notice the line-thin player dots (the green line in the bottom right corner of the radar is a player) and the shots on the radar won't change size when I change the size in the GUI options. Some flags also only have the horizontal line of the cross on...

By god, it's about time there was a decent one for Linux, I applaud you - hope I'm not jumping the gun, but may I beta test? I'm a beginning to average programmer so I might be able to help out, at least with debugging. Some things I reccommend: world weapons, and a non-perspective front/side/top vi...

I've also seen this behavior with bullets; and they actually do kill you if you jump into it, but are not on the map. It's quite freaky, even scary, to see a bullet frozen in the air ;) I know it's not a client problem because my internet connection is 3mbit down / 270kbps up...and the main place I'...

As for laser, yes something was really "bogus" about the way it was operating. I fired seven times on the ground without hitting a single teammate. Not that I was trying, just that it seemed reallllllly lucky. I have also noticed with the new textures that laser just doesnt show up as wel...

I'm suprised that didn't get noticed earlier; it's really really apparent. To me anyway. Glad it was a bug and not me. Thanks for confirming and helping fix this ;) Will another release be made soon to fix it? I myself being a graphic designer consider it a relativley serious bug, being so exposed t...

Neither have V-Sync on. Maybe it was just luck (or lack thereof), I'll try again next time I boot Windows (which isn't going to happen for a long time...) Anyway, the problem you described about lasers being hard to see is the bug I'm talking about. If you look at the laser beam from the side or top...

1.10.4 release and haven't touched the source. Maybe I'll just delete the folder and try it clean, but just recompiling it didn't fix it...I'm also a bit upset that configure doesn't actually use my CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS :? But I'm pleased to report that, since I went through and changed all the makef...

Laser with Bolt texture; Config parser reverts changes

2 bugs that I would like to have confirmed... (Linux, built from source) 1: All lasers, instead of having the apropriate laser beam texture, have the bolt (bullet) texture, therefore making a laser beam look like a super stretched bullet. Not good. 2: When checking config files, I found a lot of thi...
