Ok, sportsmanship-wise, it's bad form to steal a teammates flag in CTF. All other game types really don't apply (especially since I hate team players on FFA servers, be warned), so using Thief in other style games is fair play. That being said, I have run into occasions where I've had complete fools...

Trojan is a very good player and I concur that it would be easy for him to go 40-0 on a server full of newbs.

That would be like a fox in the chickencoop.

Good to see you back around guy!

I noticed this on xmission the other day and really don't like it. That is to say that sometimes, you respawn in mid-air and then drop to the ground, leaving you like a clay pigeon gently tossed into the air.

Not good.

Weird session trouble with the board

Been experiencing some trouble with the board, using Galeon under RH 9.0. Can't seem to clean my cookie out either. Very weird. Anyone else having trouble?

I've ripped most of my CD collection to ogg, and then just put that collection on shuffle. About 1300 songs.

Krystal Method though tends to be my favorite when I've got the groove on.

On the topic of handles:

I was an active member of the Quake Clan: the clanberries

Hence the fruity nickname. Everyone in the clan had "berry" in the name. They're still around too: http://www.clanberries.com[/url]

The g2 HUD

HI All, I have a question/ complaint about the heads up display (HUD) in the latest stable version of bzflag (g2). Let me explain the situation. In earlier versions, the default size for the HUD was perfect. It gave me (a mouse player) plenty of room for fine speed control with the mouse pointer ins...

No to split hairs, but even a one point reward for everyone on the team would seem appropriate.

A question?: CTF Scoring WHY???

Ok, this really bugs me, and maybe its a dev issue, but there is NO reward (other than the gratifying laugh track) for capturing a flag in CTF. The capturer should get a 5 or 10 point bonus for each capture and the team should be rewarded as well. I think a new scoring system for CTF is in order, ot...

No, I couldn't shoot. Just to make sure, I went back and duplicated it. You have to be less than 50% exposed though.

Intersting G2 bug perhaps?

Just had this happen to me on Turkey this afternoon. I have the G2 client and when you have the OO flag, try parking half inside a building. I did this by accident because I was unwittingly heading straight for a player with SW and so I stopped to type, but then didn't die. And everyone tried to sho...

Just for the record, it did work fine in RH 9, but very jerky and slow. I may need to compile my own binary, I'll keep you posted.

I'm trying to install the RPM that says it is for GCC2, but there are dependencies in it for GCC3 packages, specifically libstdc++.so.5, which is included in RH 8.0 and 9, but not in RH 7.3. Both RPMs give the same dependency errors on my RH 7.3 system. Any ideas? Is there a problem with one of the ...

My only ritual is to have my MP3s playing. And I make sure to use shuffle mode. Now if there were only a way to advance the player to the next song when a song is no good for playing bzflag. If the mix is good, I usually play better ;)

On the turkey server, when modified Mad City was up, I came on for a little lunchtime play and immediately got ST. Someone was taking a GM to the top of the middle tower, so naturally, I went after him. Once he was dead (via the old back jump on to the corner pylon trick) I climbed up and sure enoug...

There was a rainy Saturday last summer I played way to long and scored around 375 on an FFA server. That's nowhere near the highest I've seen. Dervish and fiberchunks I've seen both over 400 a couple of times.
