If BZFlag was in the Mac App store, it would do the auto updating.
So get Mac, it's good.
For the record, I hate the Mac App Store.

Re: Bzflag Updater Talk
I'm a Mac dev, and would be more then happy to make a Mac BZFlag helper app. (If theres enough interest) It would be a cocoa app that would contain the BZFlag.app inside it. Then to open BZFlag you would open this app and it would then check for updates. If there are none, it would launch BZFlag and...

Re: Help with compiling a plugin
Yes it's working, thank you very much for all your help. And again, someone should make a wiki page for this. One would have been very helpful three days ago... (I don't think I'm qualified to make a wiki page on something I didn't know how to do three hours ago.)

Re: Help with compiling a plugin
Wait, I'm not sure I'm following, how does shGenerator.so appear in the error? And are you using the correct version of bzfs with the correct version of the plugin? Plugins for BZFlag 2.4 use a different API than the plugins for BZFlag 2.0.x. Sorry, I was editing the name to make it make more sense...

Re: Help with compiling a plugin
Okay all is well with compiling, but how do I run it?
I've tried this in my config file and it says "can't load plugin":
Also, maybe someone should put something like this on the wiki for future people like me...

Re: Help with compiling a plugin
1. First of, BZFlag plugins are written in C++ ;) I know it's C++, I'm just new to all of C in general. (Note this is all command-line work, so get Terminal ready): I'm very comfortable with the terminal too. (For my other programming work.) Thank you very much for that guide. I will try it asap an...

Help with compiling a plugin
I have figured out how to write a plugin, but I am clueless when it comes to compiling it and using it. I am new to C, but know other programming languages. (So I'm not completely clueless) Is it even possible to compile on a Mac? I know how to run a server, I just need to compile my .cpp, so I can ...

Re: BZFlag 2.4.0 "Wake the Dead" released
What is with the size difference between the 2.4.0 and 2.0.16 Mac builds? (2.4 = 15 MB, 2.0.16 = 50 MB.)
Also did lag correction make it into 2.4? (That would be great...)

Re: Everyone geos NR after a minute of observing.
To answer Mark_IV questions, yes and yes. It happens on multiple servers, maybe even all of them. (I don't observe much on anything but the GU Match server)Mark_IV wrote:Quick Questions
1) Did this happen more than once?
2) Did it happen on different servers?
Thanks for the replies - Teak

Everyone geos NR after a minute of observing.
Can anyone explain to me why when I observe for about a minute everyone one on the server goes NR? I am playing on a Mac iBook G4 PPC if that matters at all.
