What I mean is, if I as rabbit picked up shield, so would you as hunter. But when I shoot you, and you drop the shield flag, you instantly pick it up again because I (the rabbit) still have it.

Shield flag?

What happens if the rabbit gets shield? Surely this would mean the rabbit can't kill anyone, since they can't drop the shield flag!! Also, this would defeat the point of the hunters finding good flags to take on the rabbit - such as trying to find SE if the rabbit has ST, or getting ST if the rabbit...

Last I checked, a hit/kill ratio would be 1:1, no? So you could do a fired/kill ratio, but not a hit/fired? Ahh... no. You could hit a person who has Shield. More hits than kills. But apparently I wasn't thinking when I wrote that... Also the geno flag would give you no less than 1 kill per hit, an...

Uh, sorry to put you down, but that would be like having a "Blow up everyother tank that is playing except you" flag. It would be kind of a cheap flag I think you have slightly misinterpreted this flag. It would be a kind of continual short range laser (except maybe the bit about going th...

Mixed Feelings

Clearly this wouldn't be good on a FFA map, as there's no advantage to getting -1 just to kill people, but maybe if you got (kills - 1) added to your score. Note the long time delay and warning sirens (which you'd have to have otherwise it's impossible to anticipate and even just get out of the way)...

European Pillbox Server

I am always amazed as to why so many europeans insist on playing pillbox on borrego. No offense to anyone who runs the server or anything, but when 95% of players have lag over 150/200 because they are European, it surely makes more sense to play on a server closer to home. Brad kindly hosts a pillb...

I think it's a bad idea. When you get killed, you have to lose a point. There won't be any skill needed to keep a poditive score. You just have to hunt the flag and start killing every moving thing. That already assumes that you are a good enough player to stay alive long enough to hunt this flag a...

School

My friends and I used to play a lot in school, mostly during our A-Level computing classes (we always sat with computers facing the teacher so he couldn't see ;)). Although we would only play on local servers, and I don't think any of my friends play anymore, I started played online, and I guess I j...

It'd be really cool if there was a reliable one closer to home, that functioned well (unlike shellshock, silvercat, and recently ladse). I thought ladse was in Germany? :s Anyway, I've just tested cbg's server (albeit from university where I have a very good connection anyway: around 30 +- 0ms on b...
