Re: Apocalypse In Action :: Planet MoFo
I notice you changed the colours to red and green now, instead of purple and green. I just want to leave my opinion on that, if possible. Personally, I much preferred the purple and green colour combination. Red and green is far too cliched. Almost every two team server uses red and green as their c...

Re: Apocalypse In Action :: Planet MoFo
1) amend the operation of the masquerade flag so that if you get hit by a geno-holding opposing player, it kills their team. To be clear, if I'm red, and you're green (see what I did there ;-), and I'm holding MQ and you're holding the green flag, and you shoot me, all greens die. Adds a litle risk...

Re: Google Chrome current players extension
It doesn't work for me. I get this error: The server at blueprintforums.us can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured ne...

Thanks both of you.
Just to clarify blast, if I uninstall 2.0 then "sudo make install", will that bind command line codes as well?

Thanks Grans
So, do I need to uninstall 2.0? Or can I leave it installed and just create the symbolic links?

No, I do not want to keep both. I no longer need the old game and bzfs. Do you know if its possible to re-wire it so that running "bzfs" will run it from where I have it at the moment?
If not and nobody else knows how I'll try what you said

How to get terminal to run BZFS from 2.4, not 2.0?
Hi,
I recently installed BZFlag 2.4.0. But, my terminal still runs commands from the 2.0 game. How can I get my terminal to run commands from the 2.4 game (especially bzfs)?
Edit: I use Ubuntu 10.04

Okay.. I bet most of you don't care (actually most of you probably forgot me), but I'd just like to post a message in the forum saying that I've returned to BZFlag
I had trouble installing 2.4 and eventually gave up. But two nights ago I decided to try once more and I finally got it!

Issues Installing 2.4.0 on Ubuntu 10.04
Hi, I have Ubuntu 10.04 and I am trying to install BZFlag 2.4.0. I am following instructions that Macskeeball gave me earlier: http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=17477#p157799 . Once I get up to the ./configure step, I get the following result in my Terminal (once it has finished it's ...

Re: BZFlag 2.4.0 "Wake the Dead" released
Yeah. It will if I remember right in the folder it's in the src folder. What what? I'm confused :D Are you saying it will install itself into the folder that I've put it in? E.g, if I save it in Downloads, it will install itself in Downloads? If so, where do I need to place it to install in onto th...

Re: BZFlag 2.4.0 "Wake the Dead" released
How did you build/install the game? We don't read minds, and without more information we can't help you. I followed the instructions that Macskeeball wrote earlier. When I got the issue, I tried modifying it with what was in Constitution's link, but that didn't help me either. Did you modify my ins...

Wait.. actually.. it seems to have completely uninstalled itself I got onto it when I installed it, but now it's gone, I can't get back to it even on the superuser account. I searched my computer for it but it only returns the old version.

Re: BZFlag 2.4.0 "Wake the Dead" released
Cool, got it installed, but one problem. I installed it on superuser account and all the people that live with me have their own user accounts. It doesn't seem to have installed for everyone except the superuser account, how can I install it for all?

Hooray! :D Damn.. I'm on Linux.. and I haven't a clue on how to install the new version.. and nobody is going to help me.. LOL. I was wondering, could somehow it be possible for the update to be included in Update Manger on Ubuntu? Is that something down to BZFlag to organize or for Ubuntu to organize that?
