Re: Fusion server is off for good

I may get back to playing, but it's not very likely.. we'll see what happens.

sniper15
Not really, used to play there, but the scores came from just staying there forever, and not real skill.

Fusion server is off for good

Not that anyone ever used it, but figured I'd let ya know I'm not hosting my match server (or any other servers) anymore.

Re: Forum upgrade to phpBB3

The problem comes with the fact the phpBB 2.0 themes are not compatible with 3.0 themes. Plus, the author of the original theme never made a 3.0 compatible theme, so someone would need to make a updated version, if his license agreement allows it.

1st: this is one day, prob no more than about 2-3 hours No server can support over 200 player, I mean BZFS, the program that runs the server, cannot take more then 200 players. Not like you'd ever get that many anyways. 2nd: people used to play, they don't anymore. this is a decline not a complaint...

1) No server can support 500 players. The max is 200.

2) Most servers do not have a large enough internet pipe to hold that. Most are between 10-20mbits.

3) People have lives. They do things on the weekend. This is a game. Game < Life.

If you would have noticed, the topic was started In February 2006.

It's a good bet that it will never be finished.

Re: Winny

Yes it does, the PS3 installs linux then can play bzflag. I am wondering though if this live CD would work on my PS3 The PS3's Linux install does not include 3d hardware acceleration. You will be getting about 7 frames per second. "Although the GPU is connected directly to CBE, no direct acces...

Re: Saturos

Will this work on the PlayStation 3? My cousin is being so annoyingly stubborn and uninstalled bzflag. Something to do with his "pride". So I want to use this on my PS3. Thanks, TK No. BZFlag does not run on consoles. This post is discussing the creation of a BZFlag-oriented Live CD. http...

No, you cannot award points in 2.0 (well, sort of, but it doesn't work very well...). I believe you can in 3.0, though.

After a player has about 300ms of lag, it is almost impossible to hit them without a spray of bullets.

The lagwarm/kick stays at 270ms.

For the color thing, we'd need to have a player poll, no sense in changing it if everyone else thinks it's fine.

Rat's Nest Map & Textures Released Under CC License

License for all the work in this map, and associated textures and files - Creative Commons Since Rat's Next has been sitting completely untouched by me for over 10 months, I think it's time to release it under a (somewhat) liberal license so you can use any of the objects or textures in it on your m...

BZFlagr, which runs Missile War, as well as GU Match servers has the following hardware specs: - 2.0ghz Intel Celeron CPU - 1GB Memory - 80gb HDD - 1000GB bandwidth We seem to be using about 7% of the CPU to for Missile War, when it's full with about 32 people, and maybe 2% for the GU server(s). Clear your DNS cache.
Open up the command prompt -> Type "ipconfig /flushdns"

If no one else is having issues, there's a fairly large chance there's something wrong on your end, be it your ISP doing some funky stuff, or your network not configured properly, etc.

To "fix" the problem, you should disable smoothing in the Display Options.

That doesn't completely fix it, but it does make it a bit easier to live with it.

We're aware of the issue.

To my knowledge no one is working on it at this time. You're welcome to make a debug build, and try to trace the issue yourself... Not sure if any developers even have any Macbooks.
