A couple notes: 1. The sound stuff could really use an overhaul. In the process, one could probably add support for ogg vorbis at this point without reducing platform compatibility. This would be a nice way to get smaller sound files, and make it not-completely-insane to think about having them down...

Python lovin'
For those of you who aren't down with writing C++ code to do your plugins, I've finished about half of a plugin which binds the API into python. Combined with external python packages, this allows some very cool things to be created pretty easily -- for example, integrating with twisted to provide a...

Because it's in blender, it can do anything blender can do. This includes grouping, but since it has real editing features, grouping isn't quite as important (since you can grab a bunch of objects and move/rotate/scale them without actually creating a group) As far as being easy to use, it's as easy...

new approach to bzedit-ng
So, after a few months of other projects, my interest in bzedit has momentarily returned. All you folks drooling at those earlier screenshots might be a little disappointed, since I've decided to abandon that approach. However, I have a new one (and scanline helping too, since it's python and he lik...

The rendering code from BZFlag really isn't suited for an editor. Actually, the rendering code from BZFlag isn't suited for anything at all, but that's another discussion. I've been idly looking at using one of the popular engines for this, but at the moment i've just rolled together a C port of the...

preview of the next generation BZEdit
So, those folks who know me know that I got an itching to create a new bzedit (yup, I'm a glutton for punishment, I know). It's starting to come together, and I thought you folks might like a quick preview. There's a nice screenshot at http://navi.cx/~jupiter/bzedit/d46-groups-preliminary.png This s...

Welp, I know this thread is a little old, but might as well point out a couple things: IPv6: there's no reason this isn't supported, other than the fact that noone has done it yet. Multicast: BZFlag used to support multicast, but the problem is that the general internet infrastructure doesn't really...

If your distribution has a package for 'gtkglarea', that's what you want. If not, you can install it from source using ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/g ... .0.tar.bz2
