Re: Leagues United New Format - Individual Rankings
I'm with Consti and kierra. I don't think cap difference should affect ELO. In my experience, players love to say they want the opponent to be pushing the entire game but when it actually happens to them they tend to lose that positive attitude. I know I personally don't enjoy running up the score b...

Re: Leagues United New Format - Individual Rankings
I really like the idea on the whole. It would definitely exponentially increase the amount of offi's and would probably help to set up fairer fm's as well if each player had a better known baseline. Don't love ccb's idea as I think it somewhat eliminates the point of having teams at all

Re: Rikers
Twi, your idea is great hypothetically but I really think it misses a lot of points. You said 500 ms isn't reasonable, while I can easily argue that 300 ms isn't reasonable. You have to shoot incredibly early and manage to keep track of that player in a match that is already beyond hectic. They know...

Re: Rikers
I could be wrong, but I don't think Rikers is or ever was based on the Ryders Cup. I'm guessing you thought it was because people associated the two given their premise is very much the same. I got in a fairly heated debate over the possibly of an activity rule, and I'll try to avoid most of that he...

Re: Rikers
Well to start off, unless we've been at very different Rikers, I don't think NA has ever tried to put anything but their best team out. Often additional players get to play because some of the invited 10 can't make it, but given that NA hasn't lost since January 2011 I really don't agree with that s...

Rikers
Some of you may have strong feelings about this, so please try to think about it before saying I'm ruining Rikers or anything like that. Even good things can be improved. After last Rikers we had the big debate over the involvement of a certain player who wasn't a resident of Europe. A lot of people...

Re: Quickshot league
Again, I wasn't trying to be offensive, but merely give a realistic account of why hix players don't tend to play other maps as often. Sure, ZE BOZZ, there are some talented players around. However, they are not talented in the same way. They tend to be good at sniping with lasers or on maps with 5+...

Re: Quickshot league
Not to be offensive, ZE BOZZ, but the reason GU players don't tend to leave hix is because for many of us there isn't a whole lot of competition outside of hix or ducati, the latter not being terribly active. Most players don't learn to dodge well until they join a league, making public servers rath...

Re: Proposal for rikers/chesval | increasing league activity
Really think this an awful idea. While the older players generally have a lot rust, they tend to know the game much better and have better teamplay. My example would be kris. He barely plays now besides Rikers but I don't think anyone would argue that he is one of the best euro players. Removing a l...

Re: Riker’s Winter Cup 2014 North America vs Europe/Asia????
Doink essentially thought up the idea of Rikers with the intent that best players on each side of the Atlantic would play each other. The whole point is for the best players to face off and to have fun. The idea of Europe vs NA fits because people outside of those areas generally lag. I really don't...

Re: Riker’s Winter Cup 2014 North America vs Europe/Asia????
The reason it doesn't include australians or people from new zealand is because of the lag. No one playing cared at all that roo isn't from europe because his lag isn't a problem. When you play someone who lags over 220, you generally need to hunt them, which you can't do in rikers as you're already...
