I used to play pillbox constantly, but the server I played it on changed to ducati, which I only play every once in a while. This sounds like a cool idea.

How about if when you get shot, a bunch of random bullets fly out in all directions (shrapnel flag or something....)? I am not sure if this would be a super-flag or a bad flag though....

Re: Mac OS X 2.0.2 posted

Version 2.0.2 for Mac OS X is now posted to BZFlag's sourceforge project site. You can get the goods at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3248&package_id=53923&release_id=316613 Cheers! Seems to be working well, especially now that I have the texture pack from shellshock...

Keeps crashing....

[edit] Whoops, I just noticed the "Bugs and Problems" section, hopefully a mod could move this to the right place.... Hey everyone, I am running Mac OS 10.3.7 with the latest patches, and it seems like BZFlag 2.0.0 sometimes crashes a second after I land after a jump and sometimes during a...

Yeah, I was also wondering about that (also on a Mac with Safari).

Maybe I am just asking stupid questions, but why can't you just get an Xbox (or whatever console you like), install Linux, and just try running BZFlag? Depending on hardware support it may not be the greatest performace, but shouldn't it work?

I have already gone to the SDL website, run the installer for 1.2.7, and there are files that it placed in:

/Library/Frameworks/SDL.framework/

Edit: Call me crazy, but I do not have a /sw/lib/ directory. Did you instal SDL with Fink (which unfortunately I do not have at the moment)?

Still getting an annoying error on 10.3.6:

When you have BZFlag open and use the application to start a server, it looks for maps in ~/.bzf. You can use the tilde to represent your home folder instead of having to use /users/username/ if you store your maps there.

I have 4 tick marks showing on the left. I also increased shot size a tiny bit so that there is a small dot on the end of shots, it makes it very easy for me to see them and their direction.

Just out of curiosity, what's the deal with SDL on Mac OS X? I do not remember installing it before (how can I tell if it is and the version?), things work fine with BZFlag 1.10.8, and I have not needed it to get builds of 1.11.x I have made myself before to work. EDIT: Okay, I ran off to the SDL we...

Scorch I think your ibook has hardware video issues. If you still have all the discs that came with your computer, you can test if this is the problem. One of them should be a hardware test cd that you can boot from and make sure everything is running alright. With any luck, you don't have a bad lo...

After make, the bzflag binary sits in src/bzflag/bzflag. You can run that directly from there on the command line. After make install, the bzflag binary is (by default) installed as /usr/local/bin/bzflag. You can likewise run that on the command line. Converting the build from a unix tool to a doub...

Screenshots have been PNG since 1.10.4. Screenshotting has been in since 1.10.0, but used to capture RAWs which are unusable by just about everything. 1.10.x screenshots go in the app directory in windows, not sure where in *nix - ~ probably. 1.11.x puts the screenshots in the screenshots directory...
