Re: Stupid flags

Other than to find the "goal" flag (yellow flag on radar), can anyone explain its purpose?

How is the point value that is awarded/deducted, calculated?

Re: Request For Map Hosting Services

message me, I've got a small box running for some other services and I previously had a bzfs mirror running there. I'd be happy to put your map up.

Re: Game 2.4.2 OpenSSL Compatibility

@Blast: I did follow instruction in README.Linux. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS I said in my previous post that compiling using --without-ssl flag worked - not so. Compiled, but I couldn't connect properly to the list or authentication servers. The change I ended up making was to a switch block in /...

Game 2.4.2 OpenSSL Compatibility

Tried compiling from source on Ubuntu and got a compile error referencing SSLv2_client_method() in ssluse.c.

I was able to get around this by using:

Code: Select all

./configure --without-ssl

List Server outages

Several times daily for the past 2 weeks I have been unable to connect to the list server, and thus any server that requires global authentication.

Anyone else experiencing these issues? Can't believe no other posts here about it... tks in advance for any insight.

Re: Quickshot league

want to voice my support for this... I am a web developer by day, so I can help with the website. Have built several maps, none very good, but can help in that respect, too. Also run several servers, and can host (or mirror, if mr64 has hosting). PM me and let's start plotting.

Re: Problem with Chat History plugin

Wanted to say THANKS for the reply, I did make the change and see the segmentation fault. Need to dust off my cpp books, but I will take a look and report any findings here.

Problem with Chat History plugin

I'm using the Chat History plugin that ships with BZFS, but unfortunately chat is not being logged. I don't see any command line options that need to be set nor any instructions included with the plugin. Any ideas as to why chat is not being recorded? Might it be a permissions/ownership issue with m...

Question about hosted texture images

I submitted my textures to be hosted at image.bzflag.org some weeks ago. I know moderation takes time, and in the interim it got me thinking about the other user submitted texture images. Are these released under a GPL or similar license? Can I use any of the user's images found at http://images.bzf...
