to prevent flag-hiding in the scoreboard ...
Putting flag names before callsigns would make flags visible in any font, preventing them from being inadvertently or deliberately hidden by long callsigns and email strings.

/flag reset -- change default to "unused", add &qu
I propose the following: (1) adding a command "/flag reset all" to do all-flag resets, (2) changing "/flag reset" to equal "/flag reset unused", and (3) allowing "/flag reset unused" to remain because a lot of scripts use it. IMO, this would reduce typing when...

I ran a bzfs 1.10 on XP for a little private map testing, but it did work for that, and the setup is described at http://www.sleepycows.org . The sleepycows map servers have been Linux, so far.sid6.7 wrote:goto www.sleepycows.org they run a winxp server

Hmmm...Sleepycows runs an XP server. They have a complete walkthrough on how to set one up. I forget the link... I only ran a bzfs 1.10 server on XP for a little private map testing. A description of the setup is posted at http://www.sleepycows.org . It should probably work pretty much the same wit...

Multiple hunt mode enabled
I don't know if this is a bug or a "feature." This works on v1.10.6, at least. If you press 'u' and hunt a tank, then 's', to hide the scoreboard, then press 'u' again, then start selecting another tank to hunt, the scoreboard reappears so you can make a new selection. The first selection ...

2) that should be +f and -f for example, adding +f good{3} +f US{5} +f TH{12} would give 3 of each good flag for starters, and an additional 5 useless and 12 thieves. Similar w/-f (or simply '-f bad' gives 1 of each, I think.) And with bad flags, you can set the drop conditions with '-st {timeout_in...

1) This is in the bzfs docs, add a statement to the world map such as the following: weapon name example_weapon position 0.0 0.0 0.0 rotation 0.0 initdelay 10.0 delay 10.0 3.0 5.0 3.0 type V end V can be any flag, I think. I've used GM, L, US (for just bullets), etc. I suppose any number of delay ar...

DW, I've never heard of an admin kicking someone for stealing a flag with Thief. But one thing that I have seen, and that has happenned to me more than once, is that bzfs sometimes automatically kicks a tank that steals High Speed with Thief while in the air. The server gets confused about the tank ...

custom graphics and sounds
I wonder if other players use any custom sounds or graphics they'd like to share? It could be as simple as a special super-bullet, or a fully customized theme with sounds and textures. I'll start this off with my amateur rendering of smiley-faced bullets, regular bullets with smiley faces painted on...

Yes! Autopilot can be disabled by the bzfs switch -prohibitBots in 1.10.6. (At this time it is called -disableBots in 1.11.x.) Only speaking from 1.10.6 experience: when a player enables AutoPilot, the server will warn them. If they leave AutoPilot on, the server will kick them on the first respawn ...

It was my understanding that -public is the way to list a server, too, but that is not exactly hat I observed. The following examples might help. Output is condensed for brevity. trial #1, simple invocation $ bzfs -d -q -p 5156 style: 0 (shows the voting arbiter info, but no server info, then...) Se...

bzfs is publicizing when invoked without -public
It seems to me as if -publicaddr without -public is making bzfs list itself publicly, and also that bzfs segfaults when run without -publicaddr. That's two problems. I think a simple code change should both fix the first one and render the second an easy workaround. Hopefully this can be confirmed o...

Waitlist Queue
If you try to join a site when it is full except for Observers, when you are added to the Observers team, how about also being placed in a Waitlist Queue? When a player leaves a given team, the queue is sought for the oldest entry having a player who tried to join either as Automatic or as the color...

Idlekicked while active
The other day at Sleepycows, I was idle-kicked while active. Has anyone else ever had this or similar happen, or heard of it? (DETAILS - if you want to know...) The server has "-maxidle 600". The kick output was as follows: kicking Player Tegan [10] idle 1082 It happened within a few secon...
