Re: Plug-in to support LU Season
It seems a bit complex though and might be a bit excessive. (Possibility of lots of repeated calls, despite the data not changing frequently.) Storing the content locally within a flat file database might be a good option.(Or SQLite or similar, but this might be a bit excessive.) We can cache this i...

Bolo sounds like a fun game, it actually might not be too difficult to implement as a plug-in.(Minus the engineer.)

While not an exact match, the duplicate map plug-in does perform some form of modified automatic team selection.

1. * It's likely a list of all major commercial tank games.(BZFlag would be considered hobbyist.) * During the creation of the video, awareness of BZFlag's existence may have been unknown. * It may have not fit in with the categories. 2. * The games listed were pretty much completed when they were r...

Re: Help! Global login fails, cannot play
If this occurs, check if the password within the config has changed. It has happened where by mistake a one selects the field and a character is added or removed, thus causing authentication to fail. Also, if you are using mobile internet, such as from a hotspot, it can cause authentication to fail....

Welcome back n1k03. There's now a server search function included in BZFlag: Join Game -> Find Server and in the Find Server section, below there is an item which says Press '/' to search . Use the / key and enter as query ' Ducati ' and you should find some of the servers on the listings. Once agai...

Re: noradar
That doesn't work on Fast Sorted. Even if enclosed with a passable and transparent meshbox of the same height, you will still see the objects inside with a darker color, ever though the hue will be the same. If the boxes themselves are placed in a grid pattern, there should be no overlaps or enclos...

With regards to the plug-in, as it has been around a decade without updates, the recent API changes to world weapons/server shots would quite likely impact it directly.

Re: noradar
The issue is simply how the *normal* radar works in operation. Ideally noradar would cause an object not to appear on all radar styles. I haven't tested or confirmed this, but what may work is to use non-visible and non-interactive objects and place them around the boxes, so as to make them appear a...

Welcome back cosmos, it's been quite a while, but glad to see your return. Re: "Two Tanks" Pyramids-to-Jumpers Shots Chart
Well done Agatha. I'm impressed by your work. --- For those who may be interested, you may add some shootthrough/drivethrough objects at the positions given as a way to better reference where you need to be to make those shots as they would provide a good positional guide. --- To turn this into a pr...

There's no guarantee, but I'm willing to give it a shot some time after Christmas time/end of year, but can't promise anything yet. It might not work, so that's one thing to consider, although I'm fairly confident in my abilities. (Although there's a decent number of programmers with skills much bet...

Re: BZFlag for an experiment
Back to the topic at hand... While I am uncertain if the view perspective can be toggled/bound to keys, implementing the needed modifications is rather simple. The following would likely achieve what is desired, as this is simply understood to be for an experiment, hence it is a rather simple mod/ha...

Shot Manipulation and Trickery (comments and notes)
Shot Manipulation and Trickery There has been quite a few questions asked over the years about shot trickery. Generally most of the questions relate to "homing shots", besides GM or if shots can be made to go in curves. The API does not support this, however it can be "simulated"...

Re: Local time
Why not a setting in the UI that says: "Game time" and have the ability to select "Server time" or "Local time"? That would be so much nicer. Actually, what might be a better alternative is a start-up script for the game client. This way you'll automatically have it se...

Re: givePoint and Retroreflector plugins
A rather simple modification which would enhance the plug-in quite a bit: 1. Find this section of code: bz_killPlayer(diedata->killerID, false, diedata->playerID, "RR"); 2. Add the following right below it: bz_incrementPlayerLosses(diedata->playerID, -1); 3. So it should look like this: bz...

Originally, I was going say this as an addition of the third phrase."Even if a the flag is still on the base, if grabbed by a player of another team, it has not last been reached by the team.". (Seemingly slightly redundant, it wasn't done.) :? A readme will later be planned for ArenaCTF. ...
