Re: An Apocalypse Server solely for registered players
I happen to agree with Kierra and ChickenParmer on this, as the Urban Jungle map includes said function of being registered in order to talk. Even if there are unregistered players there, they can still play normally. Misadventure and Green Manalishi can attest to this, so it might be worthwhile to ...

Windows 7 BZFlag support
Hi Guys! It's been a long time since I last played, but I am happy to be back. However, I'm not here to just chat about my return. I'm bringing back up a similar issue from a while back... So over a year ago I asked the question about Windows XP support and if I could still play from that. Although ...

I'm Returning to BZFlag!
Hey everyone, Buzzy here. Now I know that I've been offline for many months now, but that is going to change. Here is my explanation. As some of you may know, I mentioned in a topic several months ago that my MacBook was experiencing issues to where it kept crashing and I couldn't do anything on it,...

Re: f5kicker 1.1
I've done a few screenshots on this game before, but I don't remember the game pausing at all to take the screenshot. It may have done so in the past, but that was years ago, probably before I even started playing this game. However, I have an idea. We could possibly keep the plugin for a wh...

Another Accomplishment! + A temporary farewell
Hello guys, Buzzy here. I wanted to give a shoutout for us reaching another huge milestone: 28000 members ! So much has happened over the years, and we've reached this in less than 20 years! I'm so happy for this! :D However, some of you may have noticed that I haven't been playing BZFlag for severa...

Re: Plans to drop support for Windows XP and older clients
Important Question: If a Windows XP machine has a BZFlag download file on it from when this game still supported Windows XP, can the file still be copied and installed on another Windows XP machine?
Thanks, Buzzy.
Thanks, Buzzy.

Re: Hunting Enhancements
Interesting idea. I've also been wondering how to do it for a while. It can be done manually, with the exception of the flash color and timing, but with certain powerup flags, you can manually hunt people that have flags which can end your killing sprees, as most people here probably know that you c...

Re: Well, well, well!
And a bunch of new members, including me, have joined the community. I joined last fall, but I've been playing the game for years, but had never thought about registering. I've seen Planet Mofo go through TONS of changes over the years. The old mofo server with the old building textures and early ru...

Re: Idea: Open Forum Discussion
I honestly don't know, and I hate that these forums are losing their effectiveness, but I have an idea about how to help the Forums reach more of the BZFlag players. The idea is as follows: As most people here know, when someone logs in to play on a map with a registered username, the Forums site, w...

Re: Mofo Plug's
And speaking of the shot-limit plugin Zehra was explaining about earlier, Optic said the following: ShotLimitZone was my idea, but coded by Allejo, and is extremely powerful. It doesn't have to be a pinpoint zone. I really like having some flags unlimited, but others of the same type that ARE limite...

Re: Server Filtering
There are already pre-set filters on the server list, you just need to hit "?" to see how they work, and how to use them. This can separate official match servers from others, filter out servers without any players or observers, or show servers that only have active players on them. You'll...

Ok, so how do I compile it for a MAC OS system? I've tried copy-pasting, but that didn't work.

How do I compile plugins?
One important question relating to all this though. How do I download and save plugins? I know it can be done, and is needed to load them, but I don't know how to do so.
Thanks, Buzzy.

Re: Mofo Plug's
There WAS a Reverse-Geno plugin earlier in January and last year, but Optic removed it recently, as it was pure luck when someone got the kill, so it's no longer there. I don't know if the plugin still exists. You'll have to ask Optic Delusion.

Re: Apocalypse In Action :: Planet MoFo
So, does that mean Reverse-Geno is gone? I really liked that flag, even if it gave me a disadvantage. But besides that, it was kind of funny watching random people that got killed from those world weapon bullets being killed by observers, teammates, or most of the time: "Destroyed by the server...

Question. My family has a few Windows XP laptops back at home, but will their BZFlag programs still be able to run properly on private servers? Please let me know.

Nice. However, is there a way to whitelist certain unregistered players from the list if they are not harassing anyone? Just wanting to know.

I understand your point very well, Zehra. I have already seen this chat filter in effect on multiple servers. This includes allejo's Urban Jungle Map, and some of his other maps. Now, I myself have been through issues with my boarding school's network filter, where I can only play under an unregiste...

Unexpected Disconnections by Servers and what to do if they happen.
Buzzy here, Most times, I have been unexpectedly disconnected from servers, just because they re-boot, crash, or because internet connection is interrupted. But over the course of many months, I have been suddenly disconnected from servers like Optic Delusion's Apocalypse map, but my account remains...

Re: Does BZFlag ever get boring?
BZFlag is a great game to play. Cooperative teamwork, lots of mayhem, and SO MUCH DEATH! Now, I understand that BZFlag may get boring after a while, but that is why some of our admins and operators work to occasionally update the maps. That way, the same map is similar, but with new twists and rules...
