Mine also crashes randomly too -- on linux. I am using 2.0.8 on slackware
linux and i've tried many different things but i've come to the conclusion its
the bzflag program. It's infrequent but it does happen from time to time.

It's not enough to annoy you typically.

I think mouse is superior because people can manipulate the mouse speed
in their operating system giving an edge to that input mechanism. It does
provide for better speed control as well.

I learned using keyboard -- so I use keyboard.
