I thought there was a technical reason you can't change players scores? I heard on the client side, score is calculated based on MsgKilled and such, not the MsgScore that everyone else is updated with.
Anyways, good idea.

I gave Tanner the task of figuring out who I am a while back, almost two years ago. I don't have the exact logs, but a conversation went something like this after he posted a photo of an event he went to with me in it: AAA_awright: Wow, you got really close! tannerld: Huh? AAA_awright: Remember you ...

2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you need to enter the file's absolute path in order for it to work. Absolute paths work, but you can specify relative paths, relative to the current working directory bzfs is running in. My servers are run in a directory, with plugins, logs, recordings, and database/...

You are sure there are chat messages? I know for a while I was confised because the message box kept scrolling up because of a buggy mouse wheel, by default the mouse wheel scrolls the console, I had to change that to Page Up/Down. Keep searching through the key list, it is probably in there somewhe...

There is something about Bloodbath 2 (2.0 through 2.2, and 2.3 along the way) that makes it more appealing for organized play then HiX2 or Boxy war. There are so many play tactics, It is much different then HiX2, with only 2-3 good stratagys. BZFX has some neat stuff coming out, and there is a very ...

All the people here (except me) will never implement it (or at least author it themselves). I would be happy to take a better look into what you propose, but continuing to post in the bzbb is just going to anger lots of people and it won't get done. Please send me a PM or something. Please consider ...

Clock skew, wow... Unfortunately banning a system based on it's temperature is no use in BZFlag, when a system is likely to always be running at a maximum temperature. Most systems are behind a firewall, so we can't attack the cheaters/whoever. Using time alone, though, seems interesting, because it...

You don't get the concept of open source, do you? If your idea works, saying it here will greatly improve the chances of it getting added. If it requires secrecy, It will not work. Period. Also, don't assume that there is only one type of client connecting, I have a BZFlag client written in PHP, and...

It seems hacky. Then again, Perl is a hack. I don't know what to say if you are serious about pulling data off of stats.bzflag.org. (Edit) There is nothing wrong with hacks, though. At least in a non-production environment. I have my own bot that scans the list server and compiles data on http://bzf...

In #bzfx you get to see TK's as they happen if I ha...

It is removing data after 7 to 8 days now, R3laX only has 32 images to load now. I am working on a way to determine what data is more unimportant based on time and length, and a way to load hidden data if you want it. I am still working on recording server session data with a plugin with a meteorite. The big problem is that plugins are not provided with the same data (in the same way at least) as servers. I can connect my PHP Bot to a server, give it admin privileges, and it can gather more types of data that way...

Redjacket Stats - Stats with Graphs
I have finished most of the features I want to get on the site now. This is the "second return" of bzflag.redjacket.ws , It has been up three times. This time hosting is generously being provided by Constitution. A good example of player graphs: http://bzflag.redjacket.ws/index.php/player/...

Very well said Sky King. Boxy war and HiX2 are both good maps for that. A certain other map that has become an absolute runaway hit, Bloodbath 2, however, is not. I cannot figure out why, but something about the mass genocide of teams (with G or with SW, L, SB, or GM) seems to have a great appeal. I...

For a game that developed it's own physics, graphics, and network engines from scrach, BZFlag is a very well written game. If you wanted screenshots that are appealing to new users, just say so. http://bzflag.redjacket.ws/media/screenshots/bloodbath_2/bzfi0089.png Scaling the image and compressing it still got it rejected because of filesize (which phpbb doesn't tell you if there is an error)...

True, the server has no ideas where walls are. It is up to the client to make bullets ricoshet. I can imagine, however, running a .bzw or .bwc file through a processor that maps the world to a list of sticky walls, and with each shot fired it determines what wall it hit and places a WW bullet moving...

The whole idea of the plugin API is to make it simple to interact with server events, and if by plugins alone you cannot create phantom tanks (or bots for that matter) you at least should have all the resources available to record a file that record/replay can read. I do not do very much plugin prog...
