Usually this problem happens when your hostname (applidstudios) doesnt' correctly map to your server's IP. The solution is to get a new hostname or fix your hostname.

For me, on Win, the Mpeg4 version was only audio and no video.

On Linux, the .mov played fine in VLC.

Legolas_ Bloody heck, you uploaded a JPEG image! I don't think that passed through my image uploader system... there are three different independent checks to make sure an image is a PNG image. Your image is not being recognized because the system only recognizes PNG images. IIRC, JPG's don't work ...

I suppose we could get my.bzflag.org to put up a whitelist list server, where only "approved" servers would make it onto the list. THen for your client to use the list you'd have to edit the config file and tell it to use the list.

It's possible,

transistor So here's an outline of everything said here: k * ENTER will silence all chat messages. It will be applied until somebody presses K * ENTER again, which will unsilence them. They will stay silenced between client restarts. You can take a look at your config.cfg file and re-map the chat k...

Re: Can I disable chat for safe use by kids?

Are there any switches on the client to disable chat mode? I'd rather they weren't chatting to people I don't know. I'm running BZFlag on Linux and Windows. Are there other aspects I should worry about (apart from the ethics of war games)? Thanks. A simple solution is to Press in this order: (while...

Could there be a checkbox to replace a previous texture submitted of the same name? No, and I'll tell you the reason why. http://images.bzflag.org/ is a image hosting website for BZFlag. It is not a file storage site of any kind. It's purpose is to store images used for BZFlag maps. Not being a fil...

What browser are you using? Can you e-mail me the PNG file? BZIS uses two ways of validating that an image is a PNG image. First off, it checks the file's extention, it MUST end in .png . ANYTHING ELSE AND IT WON'T BE UPLOADED! This is a security feature to prevent people from uploading malicious fi...

BZFlag Image Submitter

As you all know, BZflag can download textures from the internet to apply to BZFlag maps, making the map more enjoyable. Also, in your downloadaccess.txt file, you can only download textures from bzflag sites by default. This discourages some mapmakers, as they need images on their maps, but do not h...

The standard address you use to get to your router is:
http://192.168.1.1/

However, it can also be anything from:
http://192.168.1.2/ - http://192.168.1.255/

The third number of the LAN IP can also be changed, but that's not too common on home networks.

This line: #Bad Words filter file specification -badwords C:\program files\bzflag2.0.4\badwrd.txt" You should have two quotes around the filepath. You only have one. It should look like this: #Bad Words filter file specification -badwords "C:\program files\bzflag2.0.4\badwrd.txt"

If Staturos does release this, I bet a few people from the community would be willing to use their servers (meaning no filebucket or assorted sites like that, they're filled with adware anyways) to host the ISO from. I can think of 3 people right now with those capabilities ;). Maybe even bittorrent...

Maybe a set of advanced filters (filter by player count, filter by map, filter by server address, server name, etc). would do the trick. The filter now is fine, but it's not real powerful.

I agree and disagree. If your server is lame and not getting any traffic, I think you should take it down, it just takes up space on the list server. However, everybody has their right to keep their server up as long as they want, because it is their server.

You have good total bandwith / CPU usage, but what about your network speed? What do you get up/down max on that server? (as speed would probably be the first thing you'd need to upgrade if you went for more people)
