State of development?
I'm kinda out of the loop as far as development goes - Is there actually work being done on a 1.9 branch? What's new, and how is it progressing?
What's the best place to check for development info? How do the other developers usually communicate?

Chris actually tried to make it realistic on the first attempt, but apparently 10 km arenas and mach 1 bullets didn't work so well, so he scrapped realism for playability .

I don't like the idea of software patents. They're just counterproductive for the industry, and some of the stupidist things have been patented - Amazon.com patented the idea of one-click buying, so everybody else has to add a confirmation screen to prevent infringing it. With lighting off, it uses pre-defined colors - I remember having to tweak the color of the bottom of the box manually until I got a nice-looking bottom.Patlabor221 wrote:.
