The server likely needs a restart. I'll be home in about an hour to do it. I've gotten this before as well. Usually when the server crashes. I'll have to check stuff out, see what I can figure out.

Growing pains.

Now, growing pains in the "what" I cannot say in this part of the forum.

Planet MoFo is experiencing some growing pains. We're becoming a little popular, and getting more players then I can accomodate. I will make the suggested EndShotCredit change... ...but what I really need is a better host. Currently, it's hosted on my home connection. But should anyone be willing to...

A Laundry List of ideas

Thats right - I'm just full of... ... ...ideas, now that I've been running my own server for a little while. Here are a few things I'd like to see added/changed about the game. re: Global Login How about making this somewhat of a chat/instant messaging system? If you're globally logged in to one ser...

Installing the game on another machine of mine... the configure script tells me it loves me and the world is at peace with itself. Try using the hex code.

OK, got it going. Just in case someone on SuSE needs to know... 1) add one of the suse ftp mirros as an instalation source. 2) pull up YaST, and choose to install/revmove software search for curl, and it'll pull up what you need. For the matter - I did not find an actual source for curl-dev. None. I...

Finally getting around to compiling the source for 2.0.2, and at the end of my configure script, I get this BZFlag-2.0.2.20050325 with the following: curses: -lncurses no SDL! libcurl disabled - MOTD, global bans, etc. disabled bzadmin no bzflag client binary! Also, with Comcast part of their AUP (acceptable use policy) is that you are not allowed to run servers. They never caught me, but my server was never high-traffic like yours. Would ya really consider mine to be high-traffic? I honestly wouldn't know, because six months ago; I never heard of BZ Fla...

How about make this option so you can turn ANY flag to an "always on" status... Or any "status" flag, perhaps? For example, you could set your server to "All Stealth" - and payers will always behave as if they are carrying the ST flag. They could then pick up superbullets, and still be stealthed. Sw...
