Re: Heh

I do that IRL too... Not much of a date for parties. I walk into a conversation, say 1 or 2 things, then the room goes silent. Silverfox, I think your post summed up everything that those who agreed with you wanted to say and completely stunned those that didn't agree. ;) Nice to see you're still a...

It's possible yourmom never even forwarded any ports.
Let him do some research and try that... Then, if he thinks he correctly forwarded his port(s) and still has the same error he can try such trouble-shooting ideas.

No thanks, I probably would not play BZ anymore if this was added. You should make your own server/map and have these implemented so that people could try it out. I just think it's too big of a change to really work. With the ammunition, there are usually shot limits on certain flags anyhow. Having...

That is not what I am telling you to do. If you already did it, it may be a sign that you need to add -publiclist http://my.BZFlag.org:81/db/ to your server conf. If you didn't do it and you can play with global reg, then this is probably not relevant to your problem. As blast said, check your port ...

It means you're having trouble connecting to the list server.
If you're behind a proxy, you may have had to add this line to your client cfg:

Code: Select all

set list http://my.bzflag.org:81/db
You may also need to add:

Code: Select all

-publiclist http://my.BZFlag.org:81/db/

to your server conf.

White is a colour, hence, not transparent.
Try creating a new image in GIMP. You can probably set the backgroud as transparent... Just don't add anything to the image.

The mountain image is client-side.
To make it appear that a map has a different mountain texture, you'll need to create a skybox for the map.

Peter: It looks good. The warnings Grace posted are occuring because you have three identical physics drivers called "dead" in your code. You seem to have done this to apply it to three objects - no need. You can apply one physics driver to as many objects as you like. As for the lasers not working ...

First thing: move HELP discussion to the HELP forum.
Secondly, post your map and conf files for us to see, and also show us the command you're running with. A lot of people here can help, some have been running multiple servers, permanently, for years. ;)

That happens when you try to play with a globally registered name without correctly identifying and someone else tries to join the server with the same name, correctly identified.
