Re: BZFLAG crash: Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Ok.

Do you suggest that with this computer I, use it as only a server for BZFlag OR use it for a different purpose (two examples come to mind: As NAT router, as a NAS) ??

Thank you

Re: BZFLAG crash: Segmentation fault (core dumped)

The Radeon 7000 is very old card (about 15 years), so the binary fglrx driver in today's distributions no longer supports it. So, do not try to install fglrx, it will not work at all. I'd have thought that the open source radeon driver would have been active, though, especially on Ubuntu (which doe...

Re: BZFLAG crash: Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I will check the server side (what that thread of yours is about), if it happens too. [EDIT] Nope, seems fine here. I take that back. For example when I load the test.bzw file from http://www.icosaedro.it/bze/ it crashes, but other than that it is working/works. (line 51): unknown object parameter ...

Re: BZFLAG crash: Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Based on the logs you provided, it appears that you possibly do not have OpenGL support correctly configured on your system. You may want to make sure that you have drivers installed for your GPU. You might want to take a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedDrivers Ok, how does one ...

BZFLAG crash: Segmentation fault (core dumped)

At /var/log/kernel.log I got this

Oct 24 20:44:41 pc-name kernel: [29526.451905] bzflag[4274]: segfault at 0 ip 081b83b9 sp bf955df0 error 4 in bzflag[8048000+250000]
Do you have any ideas of how to fix it so this does not happen anymore?

Thank you

Re: No way out war

Since the images where hosted on third party sites, those third party sites are down, the user who uploaded the file does not exist in the data base anymore, the user who posted the links for the images also does not exist in the data base anymore - here are some screen shots..

Re: "Trainer" map suggestion box

Did you ever release it working, correctly?

For example while I see teleporters in it, I do not see any links that make the teleporter active so that people can through them and be teleported to the other location. :(

Bzflag w/BZFS with built support for plug-ins

I think bzflag (with BZFS) should have built in support for plug-ins without having to download the source code and Compiling it to get plug-ins to work.

Thank you.

Re: How to compile BZFlag on Visual C++ 2008

Why would you download 'sed' binaries from the GnuWin32 project page and expect to find 'zlib' in it? Because I wanted to download the most to date files, and that site said these files are the newest.. As to why: Because the newest, usually, contain security fixes (or other fixes) that make it mor...

To the best of my knowledge: I did what the OP (original poster) said, and I got that error.

Please explain, what I need to do step by step.

Thanks.

XP SP3 vs PCLinuxOS 2007 (live CD) -- Lag/Jitter/FPS rate..

I found something very strange. The lag/jitter on my Windows XP SP3 computer is higher than my Live CD of PCLinuxOS 2007. And the FPS on my Windows XP SP3 computer is lower the other OS (Live CD of PCLinuxOS 2007). Anyone care to explain why (or how to figure that out..)? Here is one of my previous ...
