you could write a bash script -- I'm sure one of the linux users here who run servers have one (wish i did, used to, but it got fragged).

If anyone of you linuxers read this, please post your script for servage :)

Server owners -- PLEASE READ...

Heya, I'd just like to ask if all server owners could please tell patlabor, or myself (via PM), who the admins are on your servers, we will grant them access to the 'hidden forums' here - if they'd like to use them. If it's too much hassle, don't sweat it, but they may like, or need, some of the inf...

have you had any electrical storms, surges, etc in the past 3 weeks? Perhaps windows decided that your driver was carp, and promptly corrupted it (as a non-sarcastic aside, I would strongly suggest re-installing the latest and greatest from nvidia -- or if you have already, and are still getting the...

I hosted a server for a short period of time on a 1.5 Mbit down / 128 Kbit up connection. It was, at maximum (and then BIG lag developed), able to handle about 6 players. Like Chestal said, upstream bandwidth is more important than downstream. If you had a 512Kbit upstream connection, you'd probably...

My highest score was also on turkey -- 820, I think. My highest kill ratio is around 3:1 Sux, but then again, I just play to blow shite up usually ;)

For example: I was just checking it out again, and noticed that if I stay in the far northwest corner of the map, on the ring, I can see every possible approach to kill me, and it doesn't seem to me that you could blast a person in the NW corner with GM from floor level, you'd hit the platform I'm o...

ah, sry bout that... The outer ring is what I was talking about... The reason I mention it is because I was trying to eliminate a camper with ST, and all 6 times I tried, he/she was able to see me hopping up there during the extensive 'jump fest' I had to perform. Teleporters that stick someone hidd...

I like the middle building... the only critique I have about the map is the inability to get to the far topmost corners 'stealthily'. If there were a couple of teleporters in the corners of the top that you could access from 1 or 2 levels above ground, that would be perfect. Otherwise, great job! Pe...

great work rr! the only creative criticism I have about the map is the lack of being able to jump up to the uppermost corners without being bagged by a GM (esp with ST mode of course). If there were some teleports to the topmost corner, that would solve the problem. Just a thought, keep 'em comin! P...

bzgirl:

question: what happens if say you blast off three shots with OO, then jump back and just before entering the box/pyramid, etc, you light off a fourth? is there ever a condition where you get stuck in a building or pyramid as a result of the patch?

Just curious.

I agree with Dervish -- the prevalance of OO on turkey without a suitable anti-flag is strange. With the old modified madcity map, there were places you could lurk with ST to kill the OO dudes, but on this new map, it's extremely difficult (at least for my mediocre skills anyway), to snag 'em with t...

I have the same problem when running bz in a window on fluxbox. I've found that if you simply make the window focus (click on the window), that the brightness is restored to it's proper level.

It's something to do with fluxbox as well.
