Implement a custom spam kicker if you are inclined to needing to kick other players that do have spam messages to make sure the command in question is not included in that. Better yet, just do that for any slash command the user tries to run. However, I highly recommend just using spam warning times...

Of course, for all we know, it could have been us just searching for BZFlag instead of others hearing about it. So perhaps this is directly related to the popularity of the game at the time instead of how many people actually found BZFlag.

Google Insights created a way to view search trends over time. I would think they just counted raw search queries and smashed it into one graph. One clarification that may be twisting this a bit more is that some players start with the greeting "hi guys" and get immediately removed. strayer's BZStats however has been tracking 5 minute playing sessions.

For example, my playing time according to http://bzstats.strayer.de/players/stats ... battlezone is 92 days, 14 hours, and 15 minutes.

It is fairly accurate.

If you are referring to the Observer mode labels, you can enable them with the 'L' key by default. Note that as a player you cannot view the labels, however you can still identify players that are not hidden with the 'I' key. I believe that was what you were looking for.

1 Hour is such a quick time. Divibox, if I recall correctly started at 1 hour, but later switched to 4 hours as it was proved to be more beneficial to all players.
