Well, I am not sure if I should mention this, but MinGW32 (which is what Dev-c++ uses), already has all the definitions for DirectX stuff (at least what bzflag uses), so all you need are the headers it says it can't find. A yahoo search will get you these. Place them in c:/dev-cpp/include and recom...

If you get BZFlag from CVS, there is a README.MINGW32 file in the root. Read it, and go to http://mingw.org and get MinGW32 and the MSYS DTK, bzflag will build fine if you follow the directions. If you have questions which are not answered in README.MINGW32 (almost all of them should be), ask on #b...

lan56, thanks for the reply. Forget the first error msg. On the 2nd error msg you mention replacing the common.h file. Did you mean the config.h file? That is the file included in your zip file (which I replaced in the vc6 directory according to the readme file). I don't see the common.h file (with ...

compile error

Just for sh*ts and giggles, I thought I'd give compiling the source a whirl. I have zero knowledge of c++ of course. I downloaded the program you referred to, (only found a beta version of 4.9.9.0), your zip file and the source files from sourceforge. Then moved the files according to your instructi...

The current scoring system is not configured to split points between teams like that. I could be wrong but, I don't think a match can be counted as official unless the players actually belong on the team they're playing with.

let me get this straight: you want to create a team, with one member (you). you play a match on another team as a "visitor". that team wins with you on it. the team you play with gets a win as well as your solo team? i don't think that is proper. gerbil, at one point, tried a similar freel...

7/1/04 2 matches to report. From what I understand, you count the amount of deaths and the one to hit 10 deaths first loses. Let me know if I'm clueless or otherwise. I'm not sure how you want the results phrased, but I won both matches. bamf. (2 deaths) vs. venom (10 deaths) bamf. (2 deaths) vs. ve...

Check the pc or motherboard manufacturer page. The beeps are coming from the motherboard and have a meaning. You should be able to obtain some documentation on what the different sequences mean.

There really haven't been any major issues with league matches with the exception of a match getting reported differently (rare) or the topic of this thr...

There's no question, team HoW is the biggest match pest in league history. But, that is not a bad thing, BB (I can't seem to start calling you DB, working on it) loves to play matches. I also don't understand the point of playing an unofficial match. I can understand if there are lag issues or a pla...
