Python plugins

It looks like a long time ago (the era of 1.10.x) there was a way to write plugins in Python. I wish this was possible now, as I have some ideas for plugins and I don't know C++ (nor do I have any desire to learn C++ in the near future). Python is, for many programs, a wonderful language for writing...

Mirror object

I think it could be a fun addition to BZFlag to have mirror objects. There could be two ways of doing this. A mirror object, defined like a box, only with mirror instead of box The capability of mirror textures Either way, the mirror would reflect objects like a mirror in real life. This could be us...

RatBZEdit - I NEED HELP!

I am working on RatBZEdit, and need some help. It is written in Python, so a good knowlege of Python is the minimum requirement to join the project. If you know how to use the wxPython GUI toolkit as well, that is even better. If you know how to use OpenGL along with Python, that is better still (as...

Mirror texture?

Is it possible to make a texture that reflects everything like a mirror? If so, how is it done? Just curious.

Or, if you want, you could learn Python and help me with RatBZEdit. Python has much cleaner syntax than C++, and does not need to be compiled. However, C++ is a much more widely-used language. Make a decision. Now! Hurry! (Python. PLEASE!)

I could make a Windows installer (Even from my Linux computer!). However, right now it does nothing, so making an installer would be pointless. To make it a good editor, I will need help with the OpenGL code. Of course anyone who knows Python can help me, and any help is appreciated.

RatBZEdit - Yet another map editor, only made with Python!

I am working on a multi-platform BZFlag map editor made with Python and wxPython. It is still in development, and is not yet able to open or save files. Despite these setbacks, I am working on it almost every day, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't get teleporters to work!

I have been making a map, and yesterday I tried to make the teleporters. They are placed properly, but when I tried to link them, it didn't work. Actually, it worked when I drove through them one way, but not the other. The code I used is this: teleporter name nwTele position -545 545 0 size 0 4 8 r...

It was just a local test server. I guess it needs to be a public server to give me the permissions.

I tried that, and it still didn't work. I got no errors, unless you count this message as an error:

Code: Select all

using group file "groupdb.txt"

The exact command I use to run the server is:

Code: Select all

bzfs -conf dinsdale.conf -groupdb groupdb.txt
The groupdb file is attached.

I changed the file to:

Code: Select all

Ratfink.admin: +ALL -SHUTDOWNSERVER -REMOVEPERMS -ENDGAME -COUNTDOWN -REJOIN
And it still doesn't work.

It still doesn't work. It doesn't even see the group 'Ratfink.admin', even though I used a userdb file that contained only the folowing line: Ratfink.admin: *LOCAL.ADMIN And I ran the server with the command: bzfs -conf dinsdale.conf -userdb userdb.txt I don't know what could possibly be wrong.

How do I use global permission groups?

I now have a group that contains the admins for my maps. Just now, I can't figure out how to make the people in that group automatically into admins (when they join they will be admins without having to enter the password). Please help me.
